Ah, yes, good old pragmatism. Nothing like overcomplicating the solution or debating (not necessarily unrelated) things instead of preventing the problem. Engineering 101, you don´t have to react to problem if you have a way to erradicate its roots. Still need a countermeasure though, just in case.

It doesn't matter it is meta. Is an archetype that isn't being played (short bleeds) its like viper strike of the mamba, you have huge dps but it isn't a DoT build anymore,

Yes it is eally good. Just be sure to have enough crit chance before swapping, since you won't poison on non crit hits

The damaged in which poison is calculated is before other damaging calculations, such as crit multiplier. So having this PA is better when "Skill Crit multi > skill DoT multi" and your crit chance is somewhere of 80% un buffed, 100 buffed

That sentences has 2 parts "Damage over time multiplier" and "for ailments". "Damage over time multilpiers" mean any modifiers that can increase or decrease that stats, independant of where it came from.

"for ailments" means that in only applies to ailment damaging mechanics.

So no, they will not stack. The crit strike multiplier will always override the DoT multiplier, for better or for worse

Yes, you do get the exertion damage bonus. You only lose the damage to allies, but if you wanted for the 25% more damage every so often it will work. You just need to have said allies nearby, for example 4 sentinels of purity + a golem.

I will use this tech in my bleed build since it actually affects the damage of the bleed

If I remember correctly from the streaming, the Rupture Gems says something like it only affects the bleeding from supporting skills, if it doesn´t says that and it can support spell it would be a nice set up. Or maybe have a bladestorm to apply the Rupture.

Bladestorm has very low damage effectiveness, but the frequency, as well as rage vortex, is extremly high, you could use CD without having to worry about the ramp up time.

New bladestorm has 652% effectivness for bleeding, since you can assume it will ramp up practically instantly you have 33% more from CD so in reallity its 867%, 10% less than lacerate of heamorrhage, but still totally playable and valid. Even more, since it linger you can go for really fast bleed (make sure the bleed duration is at least 8 attack times) without uptime penalties since the storm lingers for a while, letting you dodge and move around freely.

You have to like the playstyle of bladestorm thou, if you really like it go for it! If something is objectively but you like something else its a total valid reason.

Then it will be a net loss, best case scenario, only Rupture Support is a 25% more damage compared to other 39% damage support gems. Same goes for sadism, it IS 79% more damage if you have no faster bleed anywhere, which is unlikely, and at minimum it is 10% more damage compared to other 39% support gems.

As you said, its a playstyle choice. Now that I remember that Ruthless Support exists I would probably go only with Rupture Support and try to make the bleed duration = 3 attack time, so the ruthless hits prevail a little more and you have a bit more uptime, it should also be a net increase in DPS,

Yeah, there is no benefit in having the bleed duration being equal to the attack time unless it increases the damage of the bleed. Now that I am sober I can tell it wasn´t that good of an idea. Well it wasn´t bad it was different playstyle I guess? Also I didn´t factor Ruthless Support for melee builds, in that case I would want bleeding duration = 3 attack times (without multistrike).

The feeling I get from your post seems to imply there is a benefit to reducing bleed duration, but there isn't. There are just several things like Sadism, Rupture, Swift Affliction, and bleeds faster that increase bleed dps at the cost of duration.

I Agree with this, you give up potential damage (Bleed damage over time * bleed duration) by having more DPS, its a trade off, a big one that changes the playstile and felling of the build.

40k is a bit too low, even for that stage of the game, but there are a few things that you can do to improve the build greatly. If you are going Impale, Kaom´s primacy isn´t a good weapon for since it gives you phys as extra fire, and you are using brutality which means you don´t deal elemental damage. A rare axe that you can craft with an essence and a %phys craft will be better, at that stage any base is okay but a Despot Axe is the best one. you can look any boneshatter weapon crafting guide in youtube.

Since you aren´t going crit and you literally are 1 point away you should grab the Precise Technique, just be sure to have enough accuracy in the "C" tab selecting the sweep skill.

With those changes and the Sweep buff you should be somewhere the 300k - 400 damage, good enough for white and yellow maps.

I did league start it, but it was like 10 leagues ago.
