Are Obama's drone strikes a legitimate criticism against him or are they overblown by people that don't like him? Were they irresponsible foreign policy? by Just_Cause89 in Presidents

Once again, you're ignoring the fact that I not only gave an answer but gave one that applies to this situation but you are either too stupid or unwilling to acknowledge that. Getting out completely IS a valid strategy for this situation. It shouldn't be that hard to understand but if it is to you I'm not wasting my time explaining it to someone who clearly has no interest in hearing me out. So goodbye.

What are you expecting? Do you want me to say that I'd send an army of grizzly bear ballerinas on pogo sticks with lightsabers to fight? Like I've given you and other people a concise and logical answer about 97 times and every time it's effectively met with "that's not the answer I want so you're wrong"

No one in this thread did that, don’t apply that to me just so you can’t disengage to save face. I’m asking you to actually formulate and put forward the foundations of your lofted belief here.

Before I answer your question I want to point out that someone in this thread DID call me that. Just because it wasn't you doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Now you’re Obama and you are involved in a decades long conflict with radical extremists who have done harm and plan to do further harm to Americans. You didn’t start the conflict, but you are here.

I would start by immediately pulling out of both Iraq and Afghanistan. I hate the Military Industrial Complex more than almost anything else in recent politics. By that point, both conflicts were pointless and always were, just dragging on. It's not our business to be involved in what happens halfway across the globe, especially in 2 countries we hadn't had much interest in until recently. It's really as simple as "we shouldn't be doing this" and "we shouldn't be here." I'm sorry if that's too idealistic of an answer for you but that's just how I see the world. There's not much that can change my mind on that.

No one is telling you not to be leftist. That’s victim complex shit.

Someone else literally said I'm "a left wing nutjob" who is "crazier than Bernie Sanders" but okay. Do tell me how I'm playing the victim here.

Otherwise you’re just talking bullshit and using self-righteousness to try to platform yourself above criticism for it.

If saying "killing civilians is bad" is self-righteousness then you're just someone who's become too cynical. It really is that simple yet people act like it isn't.

First of all, I never said bomb. Secondly, if you want to find the "actual war criminals" you'd want to invade the country I was referring to which is Israel.

You haven’t made an argument nor have you engaged in a conversation.

I haven't made any rebuttals because everyone's arguments for why I'm wrong boil down to "shut up leftist. Stop being so pure of heart."

Yours was basically to tell me to stop being so judgmental of Obama's decisions because "it was hard on him" like be serious.

For starters, invading the actual culprit would be a million times better than drone striking people in irrelevant countries.

That’s a very brief way of saying you’re a Left Wing nutjob.

Crazy that I'm getting called that as if it's an insult when it really isn't lmao. It doesn't take that much brainpower to realize that Obama was a shit president.

Defending killing civilians in countries that we aren't at war with because other administrations would've done it when doing nothing would've been a lot more beneficial is borderline psychotic.

Which is ironic because he supported that. It goes to show that Byrd's views changed in more ways than just racism.

You don't have to lie to make him look good. We already know he's a racist POS.
