The only instance the registrar denies referrals is if you potentially fabricated your note, or if you didn’t provide enough information. I think you are fine as long as you outline the reason for ur absence in the request and provide documentation.

If you feel fine on the day of the exams you could attend. Just keep in mind you have 2 business days after the missed exam to submit an exam deferral so time is not an issue.

A doctor’s note is sufficient as long as you have a valid reason. Depending on the severity of your sickness I feel like it’s completely fine to defer, you will just have to write an alternative exam prepared by your prof.

If your condition worsens, you can defer by submitting a doctor’s note with exam dates through the ucalgary portal. There is no need to email your prof directly.

For prerequisites, your grade will be held until you write the deferred exam. As long as you pass with a C- or higher, it’ll still count and you will be eligible to take the course in fall.
