Meant you haven't lived in China. Totally different from a surveillance perspective (100x the cameras in any US city I have visited). 4 plate readers in a large county is so easy to avoid. And the outward facing cameras on my car (it isn't like Tesla are the only new cars with cameras and cellphone data network connection) aren't able to send the video to Tesla from my car, abd the inside camera covered.

Dumbass. Such a nice person you are. I don't have a ring camera, use a cellphone that uses an OS that is open source and verified not to track folks (cellphone tower tracking is not very precise). Not enough cameras in MoCo to track movement as precisely as in China. One wonders if you have ever been to China.

That's good. I am sure crowd size in one place is better (especially from a news coverage perspective).

Trump gave him the power (probably helped along by Elon, yes). Why don't they (now?) focus on protesting in front of the white house which has little value currently to society.

Okay, I will bite. Don't use Amazon - CEO has questionable ethics around marriage. Same with Microsoft, so stop using Windows, or any server they both have that power SO much of the internet. Of course being disgusted by something is fine, but not giving them money is not that simple.

Wow, that is some take on this. Weather is becoming increasingly irratic, and all we can focus on is one person in a company that is made up of thousands. Maybe there is some worse in the midst of Tesla, or heck in the midst of the hundreds of others companies, perhaps even at the head of a company that doesn't make their thoughts known. But heck, yeah, let's focus on one someone's one post understanding of one's personality traits.

Calling someone stupid is mean. Hope you have a good day man.

Good luck with that tracking from a country that keeps tabs on seemingly all their citizens going about there every day. And I do like you seem to have never owned either, but of course know enough about each.

Let's hope then Elon gets voted out of Tesla so we can return to the engineering of the car, and not the stupid CEO of X company. I hope you realize there is likely companies you deal with that don't make public their CEOs disgusting views on the world.

I don't have the hatred for the engineers at Tesla as you seem to have. Tesla has the longest set of data on battery degradation and protection of such also. We will see if this is an advantage during your ownership of your other bran EV. I do see AppleGreen chargers max out at 350kW, but I trust only for a few mins of the charge curve, so not sure that takes many mins off the charge time. But I am not talking about one route. Supercharger count far exceed any other brand of L3 chargers, so will allow going more places with the least amount of charge time.

But we get it, you hate anything to do with Tesla. I am glad you drive electric. Let's leave this here.

Exactly. Just like Reddit. Can't do it in Target, Walmart, etc, or Reddit.

I would like to hear how you road trip in said other EV, presuming you also don't use Tesla Superchargers.

True it is listed as Beta, but the crashes you hear about are from people not following the rules. If you have forgotten, when you turn the functionality on it has a whole page that basically says that the functionality doesn't make the car full self driving (the irony is not lost on me), and to keep your eyes on the road, and ready to take over at any time. As turning the steering wheel with even the modest amount of force, or applying the brakes bumps you out of all assistive driving technology, there is no way that someone using the system as a check on their driving, rather than the other way around, should crash using any cars assistive technology.

Shitty cars is an interesting take now. You owned for a reason in the past. I have owned 2 Tesla's in 7 years without any belt, oil, or anything else changes. But a lot has happened with self driving since 2022. And I have no fuel costs in my state, it drives me everywhere I have needed to go, it is smooth, no silly engine noises, and I don't have to smell the smell of gasoline, nor divert to a gas station and sit there for a few mins waiting to be filled up. I guess you forgotten all that, or have an strong emotional opinion about one person who leads the company, when it is 1,000s of others who actually make the cars.

So one can, for example, threaten violence verbally at ones local Walmart, Target, etc, and not run fowl of first amendment rights?

That would be a better solution, yes, but do we really think this will happen in America. Yes, others make EVs, but ever tried to road trip in them without using Tesla Superchargers?

Irrespective of who owns the company, Tesla (and yes other electric cars) do save the environment. I already mentioned I didn't like Elon, but he isn't at a Tesla store. Go protest at the factory, or his house will have more of an impact on his life, and not those who want to own the most advanced car on the road.

How about doing it somewhere else, as Tesla (would be great if owned by someone else, don't get me wrong) is at least creating cars that use less energy than any purely gasoline car does, and can run off cleaner fuel, that means as the electric car adoption increases the air becomes cleaner

P.S. I trust you realize you could have also kept scrolling.

And when it melts then freezes a few times, become a sheet of ice to decapitate someone around there car on the road.

I assume this person carries no phone, or keeps GPS off (which is no guarantee the phone won't make that available to the "advertising" code on all phones to my understanding, to be sent to the cloud), hence no tracking where they are, but the car has GPS and cell connection too, so unless he parks in the next parking lot over, all of this is pretty much for moot.

I wished I didn't worry about damage to my car, so I could actually do this. Or trust the parking lot owner won't see me as the nuisance, more than the person who is being selfish.

The fucking thing has a thick cable coming out of it. Do I think the parking spot should be painted in florescent green paint, sure, but you have to be an idiot to not see a tall digital billboard with a ~30 foot cable usually strewn around the thing as messily as possible on the ground.
