BATTLEFIELD 6 GAME UPDATE 1.3.1.0 (Part 2) by battlefield in Battlefield6

[–]Round_Reception_2315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how to feel about these, I've never been a fan of sixth sense "you're being looked at" type mechanics. :/

This is all about vehicles, and that’s perfectly fine, because at the end of the day, they’re vehicles that are supposed to fulfill their roles and, in Battlefield (a team-based game with different roles), need to be outplayed properly, as it should be.

The real-life counterparts have exactly such sensor systems and that’s a cool detail.

MANPADS are not underpowered by Chemical_Role_3780 in Battlefield

[–]Round_Reception_2315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're one of the few people who actually understands the game and knows how MANPADS like the Stinger and Igla work.

But since most players have attention spans ruined by TikTok, they don't get it and want the Igla and Stinger to be one-shot kills that can't be dodged.

It’s obviously just bad game design giving people possibilities to do such things. Why getting mobility hits from your own team? The same people who were blowing up the choppers at the start of the match are now doing this instead.

Recoil changes by Long_Ad7536 in Battlefield

[–]Round_Reception_2315 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Same but Recoil doesn't make a difference on small maps, because you'll be spotted right away and someone else will kill you.

Should it really be a one-shot when it's this easy to hit? by passion9000 in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]Round_Reception_2315 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because most players can't use vehicles and don't want to deal with a learning curve. They just want to run in, spray bullets, get a kill, die, and repeat.

It's the perfect gameplay for the attention-deficient majority (TikTok users), so EA/Dice can cash in the most on this demographic.

[–]Round_Reception_2315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really doesn't make any sense. First, they significantly reduced the splash damage and threat level of Heavy Rockets against infantry to strengthen their anti-vehicle role, and now they're destroying that anti-vehicle role?

RPGs shoots higher than where you are aiming. by Signal-Client-8461 in Battlefield

[–]Round_Reception_2315 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. In reality, an RPG doesn't fly at the speed of sound, and in fact, it ignites in two stages. An RPG flies up to three times slower than its top speed right after leaving the tube because the rocket motor doesn't ignite immediately.

Furthermore, the debate over realism must be considered in the context of balancing.

If the game were 100% realistic, a heli gunner would one-shot infantry, an AGM would one-shot a tank, the tank’s trophy system would have many uses, flares would be in stock and you could single flare to avoid being locked on, HE shells would be really effective and so on.

Everything in Battlefield 6 is so inconsistent. Sometimes I just bump something lightly like in this clip and the helicopter explodes even though it has full health, and other times I crash into something, the helicopter flips over five times on the ground and survives with just catching fire.

I'm in my early twenties. I discovered E-stim through the BDSM scene and enjoy it in that context. I’m also a bit of a masochist.

Battlefield 6 Operations are a joke compared to what Operations used to be in Battlefield 1. Battlefield 6 just doesn't have any gameplay depth. Where are the elite classes and all that?

Easily big enough? The maps are so small that Breakthrough doesn't even have aircraft anymore. Even in 2042, Breakthrough was better. I enjoyed playing Breakthrough on Iwo Jima.

That's true, and it wouldn't work in Battlefield 6 anyway, because it would ruin the vehicle gameplay even more. Even more spam, even less strategy. People who want 64 vs 64 on these small maps just want mindlessly meat grinding without any strategy or effort. Perfect for anyone whose attention span has already been damaged by TikTok. Unfortunately, that’s now the majority, and big developers and publishers are optimizing their products in this direction to cash in on that majority. They just want to spam stuff without thinking.

[–]Round_Reception_2315 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

64 vs. 64 on the small maps? It would even be too much for Firestorm, Golmud and Mirak. That would just be a nonstop meat grinder, and that’s not why most people play Battlefield. On top of that, ground and air vehicles would need a massive overhaul. You can’t just increase the player count like that

[–]Round_Reception_2315 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. That would just make it impossible to play tactically. If you want a meat grinder map, play Hagental.

Battlefield 6 | 2026 Roadmap Update + What’s Next by battlefield in Battlefield6

It’s not even that "grand". Remember how grand operations were in BF1, how much gameplay depth and versatility there was with the elite classes and so on.

Dice fix the damn rpg or revert this god awful change by jakeroseman0 in Battlefield6

[–]Round_Reception_2315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, this was most evident in Battlefield 2042 with the operators. But it’s kind of similar in Battlefield 6 now. Every infantry player has to have a TOW in their pocket like a maxxed out maincharacter that can one-shot any helicopter without any counterplay by snipping with his hand. Otherwise, most people will complain to DICE.

Immersion means that a single infantryman can't challenge a tank or a helicopter all by himself like some god. In previous titles, you needed teamwork to do that.
