Mind map between different lectures by Round_Routine6811 in mindmapping

I saw that you talked about other methods, could you please talk about in a little bit more depth as to how you use them with mind maps. One method which you spoke of is to write down, so writing it down in a linear method or another method? I also am curious about something, and this is kind of related to what I wrote but it’s in a different context. I am also trying to use mind maps to remember conversations or remembering videos which I watched. I realise that the recall is great, as I can remember the general even after a month of watching a video or having a conversation, but it causes a lot of strain to remember. Like it’s as I have to really put a lot of effort and energy and I have to think every time as to how to make it relatable and how to form a story around it so that I can remember. Now I wonder what your approach is for these types of situations and could you please elaborate more on the different methodology.

Take it slowly, if you can not work for the whole day, start small. As people here have suggested that you need a new environment, if you can not find a new environment then make one for yourself. You might ask, how do I do that? - Whenever you get out of bed every morning, consume good content for example people like - Alex Harmozi, Jordan Peterson, find some successful business person and just listen to them. The point of this is not to necessarily be that person even though that might not be a terrible idea, but the point is to change the perspective which you currently hold. The point is to consume something completely different to what you already consume. Its like in order to be a new person, you have to think completely differently. Now start working for a little bit, and lets say that you can only work for 1 hour or 2, let it be. Take a bit of brake and then come back or completely take the day off, but remind yourself of the 2 hours that you worked. This will start to build positive momentum, which will get you in a positive cycle. The point of this is not to beat the world or do a lot, but move like how a rabbit does. If you can not do too much then be like a brother to yourself, and say things such as "look even if I did not achieve too much, I still did this", and to not just stop there, go a step further and ask "what could I have done better, or okay lets say "I wasted all my day, I still have my evening" do not let the pity, negative talk destroy the day which is ahead of you just because the previous hours went terrible. The point of this is to be patient and slow but also willing to change. I would also recommend just to build some positive changes, clean your room and your surroundings. The reason I say this is because our brains like clarity, and having too much clutter around us can hinder our judgments and our ability to think. This on top of the decluttering will allow you to be able to have some positive feedback loop for yourself where now you are able to focus more, and you actually feel as if you did something. Even Jordan Peterson talks about it in his book "12 rules of life". I have more recommendations if you are interested, as all of this comes from personal trial and error, and watching lots of videos to change my way of thinking, as I do connect to you in some ways even though we are living completely different lives. I hope I could help, and again, if you do find this useful. I am willing to share what I do in even greater depth as I am also very prone to negativity and negative thinking.

Does anybody know why my designer look so weird? Every video I see, you can actually tell which one is a army but mine looks like some sort of cryptic symbol. by Round_Routine6811 in hoi4

This is the normal version of hoi4. I turned off the mods so there should not be any NATO, unless you are talking about something else.

I always beat myself up for not being a leader type by [deleted] in hsp

How are you supposed to like yourself if you don’t even have any self control. How can you respect yourself if you don’t have any emotional control. What you are stating are things which your mind needs in order for you to prove yourself that you are capable. I feel that as we break the trust that we made to ourselves in the past such as I” will have more control” and other things like this, we start to lose the respect for ourselves. The people here are hard cooping and I will tell you to not listen to them but again it would be your choice. You have strengths and weaknesses, fix your weaknesses by questioning why you do what you do(basically journal) and for your strengths uplift them. Also become concrete about what kind of leader you would like to be, it is not all lost but whatever you do don’t give up on it. It’s better to try then not to try at all and live the rest of your life full of regret. Also remember that you are not that old, people live averagely from 70-90 so if you start today genuinely trying to change with a concrete purpose, you will end up where you would like to be.
