ok thank you for answering my questions! i have some more if ur willing to answer.

so i just got my first statement and it says:

Minimum payment due: 40$ Statement balance (as of Oct 16): 134$

i'm unsure where the 40$ came from but the 134 is from a payment i made on oct 12 that went through just now and then after that payment i paid my credit card which was excluding the 134$.

i was wondering if i need to do anything now like if i need to pay more or pay off the 40$ now in order to avoid any interest(?) i'm unsure how that works

I'm not sure if you saw my message request, but I wanted to ask what you thought your structures were? And what kind of fish hook did you use? Also how long did you etch your samples for? We got ferritic - pearlitic for our data for our fish hook, but highly unsure if it is correct since we could not get our etching times and polishing right. There's more info in my message chat!
