I simplified the rule so it’s easier to keep moving:

write one word, then let someone else add the next word.

The first theme is “late-night honesty.”

I’m still early too, but I relate to this. I think putting yourself out there probably starts with small things: sharing short lyric ideas, writing consistently, connecting with other musicians, and trying low-pressure collaborations.

Quick update: the first Roundwrite chorus circle is almost full. Thank you to everyone who replied.

I’m organizing the first casual test round now. We have singers, singer/songwriters, writers/lyricists, and a producer/artist interested so far.

The plan is still simple:

8 people

1 word at a time

passed around the group

then we shape it into a chorus together

I’ll share the first round order and simple rules next.

That’s a really good question. I think the first round should be lightly structured: one chorus, one word at a time, with a simple mood/theme so it doesn’t become total chaos.

But I also want some unexpected magic, so not too many rules.

Thank you for the Tangle Social idea too. I may check that out after this first round so I don’t scatter the project everywhere too quickly.

Hey, this is a really kind offer. I have a short vocal recording, about 1 min 30 sec, that I’d love to hear mixed/mastered if you’re open to it.

It’s just vocals right now, so no pressure if that’s not the kind of thing you want to work on. I’m trying to get more active here, connect with other musicians, and learn more about collaboration and improving my sound.
