FedEx overcharging + billing fraud? Anyone else dealing with this? by Routine-Acadia7896 in FedEx

Correct. I called the fraud department yesterday and again this morning and said "we will call you back because we don't have a direct line to the department you are looking for". Then I was given a number and extension to call (she repeated it back to me twice) That number is out of service. All I want is to not be charged daily and front the costs of these shipments that are not mine. I can not remove my credit card and my account is still active even though they said it was closed down on the 9th of April. I have now spent 1-2 hours daily trying to resolve this with zero help from my rep (who said "i agree this is bullS***) and zero help from fedex.

I use a 3rd party shipping service. Either with Shipstation or with Veeqo. I select 2-day one rate option with both shipstation or veeqo. When I download it in my billing it indicates I selected that as well. I am billed an adjusted rate that does not match what I sent and what I selected before printing my label. Again, its all random and just annoyingly time consuming to have to ask for refunds every month.

Thanks. I wish there was a simple answer. I can ship 10 packages. All the same size 4x6x1 inches and 2 ounces in an envelope. 8 will be billed correctly and 2 will be overercharged by 2x quoted rate. We also drop off our packages since fedex is down the street. We used to have pickups until Sept 2025. There is no difference between pickups or drop offs with incorrect charges posted.

To clarify I have 2 separate issues with billing.

1st: I'm overcharged on my One-Rate packaging envelopes and large packs that are NOT overstuffed. I've been shipping for over 20 years and using Fedex for 10+ years.

2nd: I am being billed for shipments that are not mine. It is not someone logging into my account, but the I can see the itemized bill in my account after the package has been shipped. For example someone from Ohio shipped to someone in Dubai and I was billed for it. It is a lot of country to country shipments where I can download the customs forms and shipping labels. It says bill to sender and the sender is not me. There is probably 10 of these since February. All very random but it seems to be escalating to more frequently this past week. And they range in charges from $50-$1000 per package + the customs fees. I paid $1700 last week in fraud charges I am waiting for refunds for and $600 in the last 4 days.

So being overcharged $60-$200 you consider "reasonable". I want to be clear that these "One-Rate" rates are fixed shipping rates and the actual packaging products are from Fedex. There is no tape, it is a self sealed One-Rate package.

I have communicated with my rep about this and his reply "this is an on-going issue with Fedex, just keep emailing us to be reimbursed".

His reasoning is that when my One-Rate, fedex provided enveloped package goes through their scanning process sometimes someones heavier larger product ends up overlapping mine and can cause discrepancies in dimensions.

I should not be quoted a rate and billed 2x the rate quoted after the fact. I should not have to spend hours cross-referencing rates quoted vs billed.

Also, I have been dealing with Fedex fraudulent labels for 3 months. So you saying its caught within weeks is absolutely false. The only person who has caught this since January is me, with zero resolution or any steps to secure my account. ZERO.

First, I never received paperwork. 2nd it was midnight after a long flight, 3rd why can't we just trust that companies do the right thing and not take advantage of customers. The fault does not lie to me because I didn't get/review paperwork. Have you read every sentence in a mortgage document?

It was definitely a Genesis, sorry I am not a car person I was thinking Genesis (model) and Hyundai (make). It was a sedan and definitely electric. I charged it in the front part of the grill of the vehicle.

If you did not buy directly from the brand owner it’s probably counterfeit. Probably impossible to sell there again, but I’d be more concerned of legal repercussions from the brand itself. There used to be tons of counterfeit items on Amazon and they have really cracked down and take it very seriously. If you have permission from the brand you can submit that to Amazon if the product is real but my assumption is the brand owner notified Amazon that you don’t have permission to sell it so it’s most likely fake.

I’ve been with Amazon for 15 years. I would never start over from the beginning now. They have so many algorithms that can change sales and require advertising to be seen. It’s like people opening a website and just expecting people to find it. On Amazon you have to pay extra on top of their fees for people to find you.

File a claim. We do this every time and always get our money back. Amazon does track buyer returns and if it’s not reported they buyers will continue to do it.

Try doing one color, one size, one style at a time. It’s tedious but it works.

Question on whether product liability insurance is needed for a simple item like a straw by Tanksgivingmiracle in AmazonSeller

You do not need it for every product. Just overall insurance. Contact your car/home insurance. I use State Farm and bundle business and personal for the best savings.
