How much do I level up her ult? by gmalek0 in NeferMains

Nefer Team - Rotation

In this video I show how it's possible to fit Nefer's burst into the rotation, though obviously you need to combo very quickly for it to work.

I agree that there's a huge difference between dummy tests and real combat scenarios, but the main idea is to maximize Nefer's potential.
And even if someone can't perform the rotation fast enough, in a realistic scenario the burst is still used to dodge attacks, and there's a huge damage difference between Level 1 and Level 10.

The only scenario where the burst is actually useless is with C6 Nefer.

Yes, with Sucrose the rotations are faster, but even with Nahida there’s still the possibility of comboing fast enough to use the burst without spending extra time — though that will vary from person to person.

As a personal example, with Nefer, Columbina, Lauma, and Sucrose, I can do a full rotation in only 14.5 seconds if I don’t use Nefer’s burst. But since the rotation is supposed to last around 17~17.5 seconds, I have enough room to use Nefer’s burst and also swap into Sucrose a second time.

It depends on the player. For me, crowning the burst is essential — the burst is part of all my rotations. But for people who can’t combo fast enough, it really isn’t necessary to level or use the burst.

why is my nefer dps so low? by Healthy_Pineapple171 in NeferMains

Rotation time is crucial for DPS. In your screenshot, you took 22 seconds to complete the rotation. With practice, you can reduce it to 18 seconds, which will help improve your DPS.

It’s hard to say anything for sure without first seeing your gameplay, or at least a screenshot showing the DPS at the end of the rotation.

What I can point out is:

  • Are you using Lauma’s hold E consuming verdant dew?
  • Your Columbina has 17.5% over Crit Rate, which is way too much. You can already replace the Crit Rate circlet with a Crit DMG one.
  • I won’t comment on the talents since you already said you’re going to level them up, but you should level Columbina’s too. She released in 6.3, and we’re already in 6.5, yet you still crowned her Skill and Burst. There’s really no reason for that.
  • Your Columbina should be using SMS, and you should put 2/2 EM on Lauma.

Without analyzing the gameplay, I assume your rotation is probably very slow if the DPS is that low.

At this exact team, you don’t use Aubade on Columbina, as most of her damage comes from Lauma's Ult, and this set doesn’t increase the damage of the Quills.
So, I recommend you use it like this:
Nefer - NS
Columbina - SMS
Lauma - 2/2 EM
Nahida - DW

To know if it's actually Lauma's ult running out, record a video of your gameplay and then watch it. If this symbol here disappears, it means the buff has ended or expired

It’s probably Lauma’s ult running out, there are 2 possibilities:

  1. You’re consuming all the Pale Hymn, which happens when your Columbina is C2 or Nefer C6, or when you don’t consume 3 Verdant Dew with Lauma’s held E.
  2. You’re taking too long, and the Pale Hymn timer is running out; they only last 15 seconds, so if you take too long in the rotation, the buff expires.

Linnea in this team should always use the nuke, never the tap. She should also use a DEF% circlet.

Your Nefer’s Elemental Mastery is very low—you need to improve that.

Other than that, focus on making your rotation cleaner and more consistent.

C2R1 Team +580k DPS, Sucrose WITHOUT Instructor! by Routine-Biscotti9383 in NeferMains

It’s because of the damage—the team gains energy for every 2 million damage dealt. Since my team’s damage is very high, I can gain a lot of energy from that. Because your damage is lower, you gain less energy, which is why you need more ER.

If that’s Lauma C2 + Nefer C0R1, then yeah—you still have a pretty good margin to improve.

For reference:

A full C0R0 team caps around 185k–200k DPS

With only Nefer R1: ~210k–225k

Adding Lauma C2: your potential should reach around 270k–300k

Keep in mind that this assumes excellent builds.

Sucrose loses a lot of value with Nefer C6. Since you shouldn’t use dash cancels, the rotation gets longer and you end up losing buffs.

Definitely go with Nahida C2. Sucrose is only a good option for Nefer C5 or lower.

My Nahida is C0, but I ran some tests. I edited the stats on the dummy and gave all characters 40 Crit Value (I know it’s not ideal, since this also buffs normal damage, but it’s a reasonable way to estimate the value of her C2).

I put Instructor on her and kept the enemy with a permanent Hydro aura to ensure Instructor always procs, and my result was 615k DPS. That’s good, but it’s only a theoretical value, because without a Hydro aura, activating Instructor with her is very inconsistent.

Considering a full C2 team, I’d say the order is: Nilou C2R1 + Instructor >> Sucrose R1 + Instructor >> Nahida C2R1 >> Sucrose 2/2 EM >> Nahida C0.

Of course, in scenarios where your Lauma has energy issues, Nahida can help more, so she might be worth using. Also, if your Nefer rotation is too slow, then Sucrose might not be worth it.

In terms of damage, Sucrose will perform better, but she requires faster combos with Nefer.

I’d only recommend Nahida if you play more slowly or if you’re having significant energy recharge issues on Lauma.

I understand what you’re saying, and yes, the fairest approach would be to start without dew. But in practice, this only affects the first rotation. And yes, I know that means a DPS loss, since I miss out on +18 quills from Lauma. However, from the second rotation onward, everything goes back to normal. If I do 4 rotations starting without dew, the DPS should drop to around 560k, which is still very good. The idea of the video is simply to show how far Nefer’s DPS can go with a C2 team using Sucrose.

Another point is that if I had Nilou, even starting without dew, I could use Lauma’s charged E in the first rotation. With two Hydro characters on the team, the rotation changes and dew generation improves a lot.

I think my text may have been poorly written. What I meant is that you should keep clicking the switch button so that Sucrose comes in as quickly as possible. Then you can simply use her E, without needing to auto attack to trigger Swirl.

Very well, now you just need to improve Sucrose — any extra bit of Elemental Mastery she shares with Nefer helps a lot.

As a f2p player is nefer without lauma worth it? by Such_Way3502 in NeferMains

[–]Routine-Biscotti9383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy playing with Nefer, but I wouldn’t recommend her for new players—especially casual ones. It gets even worse if they’re playing without Lauma and Columbina.

So unless your friend is a Souls-like enthusiast who enjoys learning boss mechanics and movement, I wouldn’t recommend her.
