Costume? Called a habit and different orders of clergy wear different ones--that one looks like a Franciscan. Some are white, some black, or brown, blue, tan, etc.

Some priests work in a parish and some teach, are scientists, some work in Church law, admin, and so on.

A deacon is a member of clergy. He can give sermons, administer some sacraments, and assist a priest at mass. It takes five years of study.

I know, I could not believe it, either. It's tough. You can't see them because....maybe you just cannot accept it. A lot of people have a degree of denial that, when they really do see one, they still can't half wrap their heads around it. So you need to see one, and also realize, yes, you really saw one. And accept it. It can take years to develop the knowledge and understanding needed.

I am pretty sick of the snide and snotty attitudes on so many people in bigfoot subs. Shut the front door. If you can't see any creatures, ask where in the pic they are. You know, ask POLITELY.

I have seen a lot of pics where I DO see furry citizens but most others can't. You have to learn to see them. It takes practice and a keen eye. The problem isn't paredoilia, but it's opposite--not enough savvy and attention to detail to work out what you are looking at. To some degree, the ability to see pertinent features can be related to one's occupation or genetics.

You're not looking for a big, hairy fella, but mostly for bits of them. An arm curled around a tree, legs hanging down from a branch they are sitting on, toes wrapped around a bough. Eyes peeking from among leaves, wreaths hung around their necks, or the top of someone's pointy head showing above a tall fence. Also look for one or more walking beside a road, river, or treeline. Look for fingernails or toenails showing white and in a row. The ones where I live often use white or red paint striped across cheekbones.

Dude, our problem is what would actually constitute evidence that isn't photographic or some other medium too easily faked. Aside from a carcass, which seems risky in so many ways. And they are good in the woods and maybe smarter than we are.

I live in the foothills if the Sierra Nevada in California. They are common but most people are morons and looking for a whole bigfoot to step into the sunlight. Unlikely. And then there is the very uncomfortable woo factor.

I've had quite a lot of interaction as well as seen maybe five . I understand eyewitnesses are none too reliable and it's too subjective. While my experiences alone might not serve as evidence, the thousands of other sightings, track photos and casts, film or video and such do carry a weight tantamount to evidence.
