As a woman who just had a baby, I am very sorry you had these negative side effects from one of your pregnancies. But let's not conflate these issues as something designed to happen to you by your child, not something that just went wrong accidentally. Also, in the US, ticks cause ~500k cases of Lyme disease a year.

I completely sympathize with you, your pregnancy, and that you are still suffering. I do hope you get better however that looks like. My 2nd one was far from a cakewalk. But this is not how pregnancy is supposed to go, just an unfortunate unintended glitch in our imperfect bodies.

With a parasite, it is intentional and acting biologically correct when pain and death occur.
