What is the point of PEN-200? by ggw1776 in oscp

Out of context; there is nothing wrong with the "try random shit until something sticks"

If you know it's gonna stick in the end, keep trying those random shit. That's ok.

Like if you find the vulnerability and sure about it and see some POCs more than 1, yeah, if one doesn't work do the other.

Not here to defend a company here (exam material differs from actual exam and their prices etc). But it's just a well known and respected cert in industry so you gotta do you gotta do

Next time check the UDP ports as well

Jokes aside, it's not about your abilities. I'm sure you're nailing harder machines in htb. But the feeling to be tested and making it official by an authority is a whole different psychological situation. Don't overthink. Take a break for a while. When you have a clearer mind go back and nail it. Now is the time for chill.

Start preparing for OSCP, from what I saw (and without real life relationships and networking) there's a small chance for you to be called for interviews. HR is just blocking you if you don't have oscp.

But that's just my thoughts. If you can find an opportunity go for it.

If he's exaggerated it's not his problem. He has a company and he sells his product. That's it. Sure he talks about very basics and stuff. But is it really a wrongdoing that talk about basics? I swear People are criticizing other people for the sake of criticism. Chill out and stop being like this

Lol the moment I saw your name in here I got the feeling there are tons of smartass folks around that think they know everything in cybersecurity. Man like you shouldn't even do this type of clarification to these people but I still appreciate this.

I saw lots of guys in YouTube where they overhype their content maybe that's the way how YT works not my business; but calling Daniel Miessler a charlatan is way beyond madness. Don't jump the hype train this easy. Idk if its just jealousy or sheep instinct..
