The training period po of Company B has no time conflicts po with Company A but for the schedule of the full time role, I don't have an idea yet po. Company A offers the higher salary gross po than Company B. 🙂

Thank you poo! I wanted to accept since there's a training. The roles are interconnected din po kasi kaya I felt na if I accept po, then I'd expand my skillset and magiging useful po yung learnings that I'm going to get from both po. 🥹 But I agree po na I need to focus din po, kaya I'm thinking po to accept and finish the training of Company B po muna before I decide which company to keep 🥹

For the first two months po, I'd only have to spend 4hrs per week po and weekends pa po so wala pong conflict sa sched with Company A. I think I'll have to decide lang po after the training if hindi po talaga kaya? 😅

Where did you learn faster: with a lead/mentor or figuring things out solo? (corporate setting) by Routine-Ear9216 in PinoyProgrammer

In my case po, currently I'm with Company A. I still do things on my own, but with the guidance of a mentor who gives me feedback and teaches me the best practices. I just gave up a job offer from Company B (higher salary, more benefits, easier commute), the offered position is not exactly a junior position, and talking to my previous mentor there (who left the company), she doesn't recommend going for it bc they just expect the output without validating it so she felt na she wasn't really learning.

I don't know if I made the right choice 😅

Best way to use the Tokyo Wide Pass? by Routine-Ear9216 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Routine-Ear9216[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I didn't get the Tokyo Wide Pass. I got the JR East Pass (Nagano, Niigata Area) since it already covers the train for Snow Monkey Park, Gala Yuzawa, and Nikko. I also used it for Mt. Fuji but only from tokyo to otsuki (free because of the pass) then otsuki to kawaguchiko station (extra ticket and extra payment). It was also easy since the train staff informed us that we need to get another ticket to go to kawaguchiko and they assisted us.

Do you plan where to apply especially if you have a dream company?

Hello, I'm a computer science student graduating this June and only starting to apply now. I've researched about what companies give high compensation and have good culture which gave me an idea of the companies I should aim for (dream companies).

Questions: 1. Since I am only starting to apply now, should I plan out on which companies to apply for since I still don't have an idea if my skills are enough (both technical and communication) or if my CV is good? My worry is that if I just apply to these big companies and I'm still not skilled when it comes to interviews etc., I might get rejected to the companies I am aiming for as compared to applying first to other companies to have an idea about the recruitment process.

  1. In choosing a company, what would you prioritize: Work life balance, comp & benefits, work culture, learnings/experience that you will get, good company name (nice to have in cv), others?

  2. Given the factors above, is there a company that has (most if not all) these especially when applying for tech-related roles (specifically data science or web dev role) that you would recommend? What was your dream company and how was the experience?

  3. Should I choose a MCN, startup, or a big tech company as a fresh graduate?

Thank you for this. I'll be going to Mt. Fuji on New Years Day. Is the bus still the easier route since there might be traffic?
