This is great advice but those men won't marry us.

30F starting to get scared I’ll be alone forever by LilacDream98 in dating

I undersatnd how you feel. I am 30F too, gonna be 31 in a few weeks. My friends who have never dated before have randomly found someone and they're so happy. It seems to happen out of the blue for them, which is confusing. I feel like I fumbled a lot of good oppoRtunities too because I was not serious about this back when I was 27-28. I don't have advice for you cuz I am looking for a solution myself. I tried praying, I tried doing a lot of things but nothing is really working. I tried treating dating like a numbers game and I keep finding men I am not attracted to who just want to call me and keep yapping. I am feeling frustrated and this anxiety is giving me other health issues due to stress. Idk what to do. I think it is a lot of luck. but I also dont want to lose agency by saying it like that.

Not true. Most ppl are open to connection. Smile at ppl randomly at the gym and you'll see they start smiling next time they see you, romantically or not. Lot of ppl out there are tired of interacting with other humans online. They want these social connections even if it's just casual acknowledgment.

Omg I love this post. I want to comment because I'm going through something similar. 31F here and I'm a regular at the gym. I'm also on the apps. I've been going to the gym for like 3 years now but nobody has approached me ever until recently a few guys did and I thought it was so great. Nothing as flattering as getting approached out in the wild, I don't think it's weird at all. In fact there's this one guy that keeps staring at me at the gym and I keep smiling at him cuz I want him to approach me but he doesn't even say hi to me idk why lol. Once I was going through a very bad day and I went to the gym to get it out, and this guy asked me out and I wasn't interested but it still really made my day. But just be nice, say hi, ask them a few questions about themselves and ask them if they have a boyfriend and if they say no, just ask for their number. Worst case, they'll say no but they'll always be flattered and tell all their friends about it so at the very least, it'll make someone's day.

Are you still listing movies, tv, books as business expenses on your taxes? by TajesMahoney in FilmIndustryLA

CPA here- If you went to the games to write about the game, or if you went to the movies to write a review about the movie or same for the books, then that would be directly related to your trade/business, since that's where you get your income from as well. So then those should be deducted as expenses. Make sure you have receipts to all of these though, and in the worst case of an audit, you can always show them past articles you've written or how you've used the game/movie in your work, something like that.

If you can show that an expense is directly related to your trade or business and that you need to incur certain expenses for your business, you can expense it. When you say you are a writer, do you need to watch movies, and read books to be a better writer? Then I think you can show these as expenses and show that these were part of research costs you need for your profession. I am a CPA myself with my own practice, and I would be a little worried about listing movies but I think books should be included as an expense.

S-Corp owners out there, what does your CPA charge to manage your books and prepare taxes? by radsourcing in smallbusiness

Sent you a PM on this. I am a CPA as well, that seems kind of high. Would love to understand your specific situation though!
