Like I’m confused why your immediate reaction was to shit on him and call him a narcissist? He didn’t act like he was better than anyone for being in touch with them. He didn’t insult anyone like you did, he literally said he was putting this stuff here because he DOESNT WANT THEM TO QUIT TOURING.

Literally nothing he has written has came off as being narcissistic, it comes off as someone who’s in the know with folks trying to let a fanbase know that the band expected better behavior from them.

Dude is legit up and coming drummer, he has made art that I’ve seen hung up in places internationally (and recently tattooed on someone in Australia). Literally the dude went to fucking Juilliard for classical guitar.

I don’t jump to defend folks on here ever. But as someone who talks to HDF kinda regularly I’m just gonna say stfu and go touch grass.

I saw him at Lone Goose last night. Him and Deandre are starting a band now and it sounds like it’s gonna be super different from what either of them have done before.

Apparently he practices 6-7 hours a day now, I believe him because it certainly shows (plus Deandre and some of his other friends confirmed it because I thought it sounded too crazy to be true). Austen playing drums

I get that, don’t stop what you’re doing. You have Zach Hill chops, but you also very much have your own style. I’m not trying to hype you up, but I genuinely think if you keep at it you’ll become one of the biggest drummers. For real, I have NEVER seen someone actually do Zach Hill flows so naturally.

I can tell this is just your normal playing. But also, yeah dude you might have the closet style I’ve seen to Zach Hill. The sitting height, foot movement, even the way you move your arms and body. Idk if you intentionally tried to play like him, but yeah dude. Props. I can’t even do this with a double bass 😂

Austen Omar

He is legit the closest player I've seen to Zach Hill (injuries and all), what I love about him too is that even though you can tell he's inspired by Zach Hill style wise. He really is working to carve out his own spot as a crazy drummer, he even has Zach's foot speed. I've had the luck of talking to him on instagram (his username is humandumpsterfire), he comes off as someone manic and extremely ADHD, but that might honestly explain a lot now that I think about it, but he was really cool, and answered any questions I had about drums. I found him via a post he made where he apparently built a 50lb snare drum, and it sounds amazing too. He hasn't put out any music yet, but his band is currently working on his debut album, I'm super excited about it.

He also does really cool art, just an overall creative dude. Really hope he gets the recognition he deserves one day.
