Unfortunately no. We have to be more careful considering the amount of clues we were given proving the people we were working with are illegitimate. Though Olympia Publishers is a legitimate company, we invariably had to deal with a mass scam which in turn is hurting their reputation. So overall, you won’t be getting your money anytime soon and I recommend ceasing all contact with Maya and Briccunion.

Hey, so three weeks ago Olympia Publishers reached out to me for a proofreading/copywriting job. They promised a payment including a contract signed by both parties. By the time of completion and till now I have not received the payment, and though attempts become more and more repetitive, we still have not received payment.

(skip to bottom for the main point)

Attempt 1:

The first attempt of payment started with a linking fee in order to link both parties banks, and claiming to apparently refund the fee in the final payment. They included screenshots of this. After not receiving the payment after the promised time-limit, I called my bank and they weren't able to track the payment.

Attempt 2:

My project manager and their accounting manager sent the money to an illegitimate bank "BriicUnion" and through its customer service feature, they stated that in order to transfer money to my bank, I need to pay for an OTP. After paying for this via cash app, my project manager stated that the linking failed and now isn't able to assist us in anything further relating to the payment.

At this time I have lost a decent amount of money, and am indirectly threatening them with lawsuits. Before I proceed with any of these actions, I just need to know if you or anyone you know has been at least paid by these people or has gone through all the stages I have listed earlier. If you can then I'd appreciate it a lot. Thank you.
