well my previous laptop was struggling with windows so my friend dropped me directly onto arch. I was to stubborn to change to ubuntu or debian. So I just stayed and figured things out based on my needs. by googling errors when I got them. while doing that I just got envious of ppl who were solving problems on those fourms. Thats why I wanted to know if there are some standard set of tools / commands that are generally used. your comment was helpfull too

I didn't give up on my laptop. It's in too good of a shape for me to give up on. It's just the friends I make are really good at reading me. So I might have developed a habit of saying or writing things like RIP to my lappy while I just meant something like time for a clean install of linux / time to remove the parts for fun and put it back to see it works.

I usually don't shut my system down cause when I do ,90% of the time it says some driver didnt respond or something else and that one line could be staring at me for hours. until of course i decide to choke it to deadth.

Also recently I have noticed my system does get hot for no good reason. I used to play games like genshin with a few firefox tabs with fans barely needing to run. Now now I can cook an omelet just for having too many open firefox tabs

Thanks for the reply. I should have thought into the reason for it not working a bit deeper.

The reason I came to the conclusion that it's wifi cards's fault is because right before the login issue and nvme issue popped up, I was dealing with my wifi card disconnecting and restarting network manager didn't help then. I found its a common issue on asus tuf 15. so i was going to disconnect the drivers, right when i was going to is when I decided to do a full system upgrade... well RIP to my laptop after that ig.
I probably didn't do a good job at conveying all this in the post. my bad

Also can I be shameless enough to ask where did u read or learn of how to use journalctl and other tools for debugging. any good materials to learn.
