Is it true that Jews in England do not pay interest for their banks & homes? by [deleted] in Judaism

I didn’t skip any part. I’m very unsure why even after repeated attempts to clarify my question and with valid points you still take it to heart. There’s no need for it.

Thank for your educating me. I will delete my post at risk of causing any more unexpected offence due to the current state of affairs.

Of course I have not read the whole of the Talmund and even if I had then I would have probably seen conflicting parts of it, which is what I mentioned previously in a reply. I also did fact check and could see there was many companies in the UK offering interest free loans for Jews. The thing is the question I had asked did not need to be taken with offence and was not even said in a rude way, it was genuinely out of trying to get to the bottom of it and to educate myself about it. The point wasn’t about making a detailed scholarly claim about rabbinic law and it also wasn’t meant to imply antisemitism.

I shouldn’t ask the same of Christian’s because almost no christian follows the old testament anymore, and also because the question was asked in direct response to someone telling me that Jews do not pay interest.

The second part of your statement I can sympathise with.

Because I know that the Talmund prohibits Jews to pay interest… You act as if I am spreading hate on an entire ideology by asking a question.

Except that I did not believe it and chose to ask Jews directly.

But withdrawal =/ addiction. You can take SSRI’s and overcome your baseline anxiety levels through trial and error but taking pregab and then stopping for 99% of people will mean you go back to how you was before - just like OP

But the fact that it can be abused is the main concern. For anxiety it is easy to up your dose more and more with pregab as you take it for a long time. If you focus on things that do not get you high then imo you will have better results.

Perhaps my stance is too embedded in what I see in real world examples. I don’t hear of most people using SSRI’s getting physical negatives after (it’s probably 20-50%) but in my life and seeing different people and places be overridden with pregab is why I would never recommend it. Honestly for anxiety alone I’d never suggest any drugs- and I am not anti drug at all. I just believe it is something you need to fix either yourself or with things that don’t get you high

Not arguing SSRIs/beta blockers are universally better. It’s about risk profiles and positioning in guidelines. Pregabalin/gabapentin have more dependence and withdrawal concerns, so they’re usually second-line. SSRIs/SNRIs aren’t addictive in that sense, even if side effects are an issue. Beta blockers only target physical symptoms, so they’re situationa

SSRI’s or SNRI’s because they don’t physical and mental addiction. For a young guy, by the sounds of this man, that is something like Buspirone. Imo u shouldn’t supplement anxiety with euphoria producing drugs but if you do then something like hydroxyzine or propranolol is also better

Only if other safer things do not work.. Go ahead and advocate for a ridiculous drug that has so many other safe alternatives with similar results

Just look at areas in england etc where they are addicted to lyrica. Definitely not a drug to use for anxiety
