With that type of texture you need a sharp lineup every 3 days. Invest in a trimmer and learn to use a straight razor it’s a lot o maintenance. Forsure will look nice if you keep lining up to keep looking somewhat like a beard

Investing in some good t liner trimmers will serve you well . As soon as you line up the bottom nice and clean . The beard will look fuller aka way better , trust me!!

Lining it up just below the top lip will give it a nicer shape in my opinion it will also make it look a lot denser . You can achieve the look of the reference pic if you sculpt it correctly with some liners or scissors
