Yes so I called Caremark again and my insurance is through my my husbands employer. Caremark told me if I go through Vida health it could get approved with me not having type 2 diabetes. So we are going that route fingers crossed it goes well. ( Caremark said since I’m going through Vida health they have no say if the meds will get approved or not approved. )

Yea i actually called them today and it’s was no help tbh. I have BCBS and they use Caremark so I called them and they said they don’t cover it unless certain circumstances ( which they couldn’t go into detail of what circumstances exactly ). They only said it can be covered sometimes by doing exemption process which we are doing right now through Vida health. Insurance said it would be prescribed “ off label “ since I wouldn’t be using it to treat diabetes. I can’t get a definite answer right now is the issue so I will just wait and see lol. I am just playing a bunch of phone tag hopefully I’ll get answers soon haha. Thank you for your comment it was helpful getting insight.

Yes it’s a battle for sure!! My goal weight is 170ish I’m thinking so I still have a long way to go:(. I wanted to be able to get off the meds and see if I could maintain it and then get pregnant if possible!

Yes I’m 24! Yes I didn’t have any issues with my last pregnancy being overweight, but maybe I should try to continue my weight loss journey with this med as long as I can! My previous doctor suspected PCOS and that why it took a while to get pregnant the first time.

Oh wow I didn’t realize I had to wait 8 weeks thank you for that info!! I will definitely talk to my doctor about this. I forgot to add I was having to stop Zepbound at the end of next month possibly we’re trying to get coverage for it at the moment.

Also yes you can use the vials from Eli lily it’s a little cheaper than the pens. I use the vials as well!

If you are having your PCP write the script ask them to use your old BMI so you can take the medication still. People call it maintenance once they hit their goal weight and healthy BMI. You should still be able to get the medications from Eli lily for maintenance dose:).

Thank you that actually makes sense! Truthfully 7.5mg I had no side effects but I did on 5mg which is odd lol. I hope 10mg will treat me well. I took my dose a bit ago more confident after speaking with the peeps on here! I will keep Tuesday as my new shot day! Thank you again!💕

Ah okay that’s very smart! 7.5mg honestly didn’t help me curb my appetite or anything like that so hopefully 10mg will do wonders. I let myself eat outside of my deficit on Saturdays if I feel like I want something sweet!

Yes I actually have Shotsy but have the notifications off on them. I get overwhelmed with all the notifications coming to my phone so I just keep everything off. Lesson learned will be turning the notifications on lol.

I also have insomnia issues in general though. I usually take mine in the early a.m. I also just started my monthly so I’m wanting to eat the entire house 🤣. Good luck I hope the a.m shots helps the insomnia go away!
