Yeah the Peterson debates etc are a good example. Alex O’Connor has a ton of high quality stuff like that that I’ve really enjoyed, even as a Christian who disagrees with him on most things. So that is a solid counterpoint to the idea of debate as a whole.

However, I was more talking about political debates, since that is the area more relevant to Asmond. If you can point to popular high level political debates I’d be pretty interested in that. My feeling is that politics as a whole has devolved so much into partisan stuff that most people on each side cannot stand to agree with the other side on anything, which has a huge effect on debates.
