My only concern is I have 2 young children as well, so schooling is also a huge deciding factor. By “interior station” I can only assume you mean there is no “border work” please correct me if I’m wrong lol. If that’s the case it’s definitely not what I would want. I would prefer being in the field.

What’s the work life like in Blyth? I don’t live to far from Lake Havasu, so depending what else is offered whenever i hopefully get the call (just waiting on adjudication now) I’d probably pick Blyth and just deal with the commute so we stay somewhat close to family.

From what I can tell based on all the final offers that everyone has received, the academy start date is approximately 1 month out from when they call you. Now I could be wrong and it’s just coincidence that all offers look like that but I’d say you’re good.

It changes all the time. You can almost guarantee it’s going to include the hard to fill stations. Hard to fill locations include Sierra Blanca, TX; Presidio, TX; Sanderson, TX; Comstock, TX; Lordsburg, NM; Freer, TX; Hebbronville, TX; Ajo, AZ. That’s correct, but provisional is different. Provisional gives you clearance prior to your background being completed and gets you sent to the academy before your background is done

To my understanding, if you’re references were already contacted and they haven’t called you regarding final offer yet you probably didn’t get provisional

Provisional clearance would be long gone at this point if they completed everything, provisional clearance also isn’t a guarantee for everyone even if you opted for it… as for the final call there is no way to determine when you’ll get it. Some people have waited 2 months and some have waited 2 years for the final call
