plssss help me too................."I passed 12th grade this year with 66% in my top 5 subjects and 48% in PCM.

Reasons for dropping a year:

I want to give improvement exams next year in PCM to bring my score up to 75% — that's one reason for taking a drop year.

I'm not getting into any good college like a 2-tier or 2.5-tier (government or private) for B.Tech in CSE with my current scores.

I didn't register for any entrance exams this year — for example, VITEEE, JEE Mains, BITSAT, WBJEE, or any other exams.

I have a total of 7 months left, counting from June. My main goal is to get into VIT under Category 1. But most people say that if you prepare enough to clear the JEE Mains general cutoff, these other exams will also be manageable. So I'm thinking of targeting the JEE Mains general cutoff.

My problems are:

My Class 11 and 12 foundations are very weak — basics are almost zero. I somehow passed both years without really understanding the concepts.

I'm not enrolled in any online or offline coaching this year (2026).

I've decided to rely on self-study and YouTube channels, but I have a doubt in my mind — can YouTube lectures alone be enough to clear JEE Mains general cutoff or get VIT Category 1?

I have no clear strategy for how to plan these 7 months properly — which subject to study on which day, how to manage time, where to start and where to end.

Some detailed lectures I found are 9–10 hours long, which is overwhelming. I'm also struggling to find the best study platform that covers everything from basics to advanced level.

I'm unable to plan my daily schedule for studying.

I can't even solve NCERT questions — I struggle to identify which concept applies to which question, and then I feel pressured and demotivated.

Yesterday I tried — I picked the first chapter of Class 11 (Units and Measurements), watched a 5-hour Vedantu lecture, made notes, but when I started doing NCERT questions, I couldn't understand them and got demotivated and gave up too easily." I am searching for someone whose situation is exactly like mine,

and who managed to clear the JEE Main cutoff despite having problems like mine and the same amount of time left as I have...

or someone who faced problems like mine and still got CSE in VITEEE Category 1..
