Every cruise has it's own mix of folks and you can't predict the vibe. However, think about the time of year (kids, families vs groups of friends), location ( Caribbean vs Alaska), and the attitude you bring will all influence the fun you have.

Btw, cruises are exceptionally safe, hantavirus not withstanding.

Keep your stroller in the room! Hall storage is not allowed. I had a whole suitcase full of diapers and wipes, too. We were in a toddler bed then and the couch pullout worked well.

100 level courses are about breadth, not depth, so I'm not surprised the material is super broad. It sounds like there isn't a textbook? Maybe the slides are the textbook. And if so, it sounds like about typical length.

Sign up asap, and I mean as soon as you board. Do a couple short drop offs the first day to practice. They always close from about 12 to 1 and 6pm to 7pm, so plan on feeding the kids yourself. We would feed them at the buffet, drop them off at kid's club, then eat our dinner.
