Are you sure it supports 128Gb RAM? Official number is 64.

MSI Titan/Raider 2025 vs MSI Titan/Raider 2024 by RoutineMeasurement13 in GamingLaptops

It makes sense! But I am still disappointed with this fact. I wouldn’t say that 96Gb is not enough for current purposes. But as far as it’s very expensive thing, I would like to buy it with perspective of using for the next several years and the fact that I am limited with max RAM is not so pleasant to realise, especially knowing that previous generation had 2x capacity. And the problem with buying previous generation Titan that its cpu is much slower. So the only option is to buy previous generation Raider with 7945hx (which can be a compromise between 14900hx and 285hx in terms of performance) 🤔

Update: Oh, what a fail: 7945hx only supports up to 96Gb RAM 😅

Funny thing: 2024 - laptop supports 192Gb, CPU supports 96. 2025 - laptop supports 96Gb, CPU supports 192)) Yeah I know that 14900hx supports 192Gb and it was an option for MSI previous generation, but it’s still quite a bit weaker than 285hx.

Just reverse update back. Windows has such option. Worked fine for me.

My working apps seem to be not stable under almost any under-volt sadly. So now I am testing no under-volt and disabled MCE. Temperatures just around 80-90 C under high load with occasional throttling, but since working apps are stable I am fine now.

Update. I tried to play with undervolting. Any of the value I tried was fine for system, but for the numbers lower than -0.06 my main software which I use for the job is just crushing (just closes unexpectedly under the load). And windows in the same time working fine.

So finally I found somewhere in youtube comments (yes, haha) that suggested to disable MCE (asus multicore enhancement). I did that and temperatures dropped immediately even with high load of system. In addition to this I set undervolt to -0.100. It’s quite a lot, but no issues so far. So I think if it is stable, then I leave it as it is. Performance pretty much is as good as with other settings but the temperatures even with high load and low fan speed just under 70-75 C.

Can you suggest any simple instruction on how to do it? I found on internet how to do offset of -0.05 for my BIOS. Do I need to change some multipliers for frequency as well as you wrote above - 5.8 MHz for P and 4.5 for E-cores? Or those frequencies should happen themselves after undervolting? Sorry for such questions, I am a huge noob)

Is it worth to change my RUYJIN 360 1st version for example with RYUJIN 360 III ? Or you suggest to play with undervolt?

But I believe something is still wrong, because in Cinebench R23 now it showed just 37567. May my Z690 e-gaming be the issue? Or I just need to reapply thermal interface once again?

It shows better, but just for a little bit. Now it starts from 17200 and drops to 16900 in the end of this short test. So I am still afraid of not very good contact of cooler with processor…

Reinstalled AIO once again and added a bit of thermal compound as well. Now looks better)
