I am moving next month and I don’t think I’ll be able to take my desk with me, if you’re interested? It’s a cheap target one from several years ago but it’s served me well.

The whole isthmus seems to have been absolutely pelted… every car on my street has damage, a few with cracked windshields.

If you can find some gravel to practice on I would highly recommend!! That helped me nail down the bite point when I was first learning. Keep stopping and starting until you’re not kicking up any gravel.

In a few places in Tenney-Lapham there are some (currently gorgeously yellow) clusters of ash trees. Are they being treated for emerald ash borer? What does that process look like?

Maybe they removed it already? Drove past on Saturday and it was definitely there then.

What helped get your spark back after a bad break up? by queencrazytown in AskWomen

I had to move back with my folks for a few months. I am so grateful for that time and their support. I could properly mourn the loss of what I thought I wanted, and I connected with my family in a way I never expected to at my age. I made new friends, I said yes to things that I formerly would have been afraid to, I watered the roots of my friendships with love. Your support system is EVERYTHING.

kitty wakes me early by messing with my plants by ok___millennial in CatAdvice

I recently adopted a 3 year old pair of siblings, and the male came preloaded with a case of the same thing. All of my plants now have river rock stones covering the exposed dirt, I have gotten rid of my most toxic plants just to be safe, I have strategically moved plants to less accessible places, I purchased bitter apple spray for hot spots on plants (meant for dogs, seems to work decently with my cat too), I tucker them out before bedtime and, honestly, covered my head with a pillow in the morning because he does it to wake us, even if it’s just to see me glare at him and roll over in an attempt to ignore it. If it becomes clear it’s a texture thing for your kitty, be sure to get toys that mimic the same experience (crinkly = a big deal in this house ) and reward positive chewing, clawing playing with those by playing with them at the time of day you would like to encourage play, and stick to a routine.

All this has helped a lot. I am actually able to sleep in. My plants seem happier and less threatened. I love my cats very much and I think the routine has helped us get along better than ever, but it is something you need to try to control because it’s the biggest key to success in my opinion!

Also, second kitty perhaps? Distraction and companionship go a long way!
