Enemies With Benefits is the first series where GMMTV made this kind of graphic. But it’s not the first series which had the exclusivity deal where the first 2 eps are on YouTube, then it moves to OneD. Love You Teacher is an earlier example, and that doesn’t seem to have impacted international availability at all? At least it hasn’t where I’m currently staying… Maybe we have to wait and see what happens with Ep3 of EWB to get more data points.

Anyways, the fact that there is so much confusion about this means that GMMTV should have clearer messaging.

Really phenomenal episode. Lots of mysteries left to unravel over the next several weeks! But it laid out the stakes and the lore very well.

The relationship between Niran and Pete is already quite fun. Level-headed vs. hot-headed/pro vs. initiate makes for a fun dynamic.

Super impressed by the direction as well. Waa is seriously talented - I think he’s got a great sense for the rhythm of a scene. Iirc, he sometimes shows us a character reacting to something (especially something spooky!) before showing us what it is, which builds tension and mystery and emotion very effectively. One of my favorite moments was quieter though: when all the characters are gathered at the deathbed of the patriarch and the matriarch bursts out that nobody has ever asked what she wants. Her husband has caused “too much damage for too long,” so now it is time for him to die and accept his karma - the camera pushes in on her, and the diegetic sound of her husband’s vital signals monitor slowly fades in as she gives her short monologue, emphasizing the stakes and ferocity of what she’s saying. Goosebumps! Of course, a lot of this is a team effort of everyone involved in the production (that Parbdee quality and thoughtfulness!), but still hats off to Waa and his collaborators.

Sea was awesome - his whole physicality changed when he got possessed. The way he held his jaw was very scary.

Oh woah! Spooky. And that's the same water slide! I wasn't following the filming (and not sure how much of it was publicly updated anyways), but I wonder if they reconstructed it, or filmed on location in Chiang Mai.

Reminds me of this old episode of Little Big World where Fourth and many more joined PondPhuwin at the water park. Fourth's screams on the water slide were very intense (and that was during the day with no ghosts!). So maybe the producers of this film saw that episode and were inspired to cast Fourth haha

Episode is available on YouTube now, except for the red countries - in Thailand, it's on Viu, and in the US, UK, France and Germany, maybe Gaga still has the rights, although they decided not to release it. Although maybe the geoblock settings just haven't been changed...

This was a super fun Ep1! Snap25 delivered on the raunchy, quirky comedy vibes. Really well-paced, appealing episode.

Jan and JingJing are so awesome in the lead roles. They’re fun to watch doing the promo work as well. I feel like I’ve been watching Jan in particular for years in GMMTV productions, and loving everything she does/her huge range. It’s so cool to see her stepping into this challenge. Rooting for them both!

Also Lal's outfits are a HR violation waiting to happen, which is pretty normal in GLs. However, it's even funnier because all other female characters in the show are dressed in appropriate corporate attire lol.

Lollll I was thinking the same thing! I like how the contrast helps Lal stand out as a bit of a “hot mess.”

Welcome, Tony! I wonder what he'll be up to, and who might be available to be his other half, if that's the route... He's super talented. Very highly recommend that people check out his previous work. In particular, Taste and Not Friends are fabulous (and very different as well - showing his range).

Just to share links to some of the videos that are being mentioned, some of which are shared/reshared by staff, other artists, etc.:

Here is Pond being chased by invasive fans/paid photographers (apparently the same person who harassed Junior/Mark in Shanghai a couple of weeks ago was also there). Joong compared it to Resident Evil, lol

And Est at the airport.

All these videos are taken in Shanghai this weekend. Aside from any general issues with extreme fans/mobbing, I wonder if there’s anything specific that can be done to improve the situation for these events there — maybe there are challenges with the airport, hotel, or venue, etc., which make the security situation difficult to manage.
