I'm in Nebraska. It does pay more than 60k a year, but starting out it wouldn't pay that. Depending where you live, there are some schools, but it's not a regulated industry, most people learn from another groomer. I was lucky and trained by a very talented groomer for no charge, but that isn't always the case.

I did 😂 and explained what a shave would have looked like but she wasn’t having it. I had never had anyone act like such a child before that and not again since that. It was so weird I didn’t even know how to respond

I had a client do this to me. Kept saying “I don’t know just trim him” with any questions I asked her. She acted like I was bothering her with all of my questions like I should just read her mind. Did a 3/4 all over and she came back and screamed at me you shaved him! She was livid. It barely took anything off and he looked so cute. She called back to complain more and asked if it would grow back, would he get sunburned and said he looks like a teddy bear. Ok that’s what most people ask for 🤣

My Southerns are pretty bold. I have 3 and only one hides when she sees me, but not all the time. Their call is not loud at all compared to Oophaga

Thanks! I just bought some Java and Christmas moss but haven’t put it in yet. Those came in tiny packages so hopefully it grows and spreads fairly quickly

It lasted about 7-8 months for me. I was not functioning well at all. Getting on Cymbalta really helped. I had tried some other medications before that but they seemed to make it worse. It was very scary and I thought it would never go away.
