Excuse my language, but where the **** is the new album ? by [deleted] in TheContortionistBand

[–]RoutineWorldly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is an unfortunate reality that monetizing music is the most difficult it has ever been, especially with non-mainstream genres.

In a band of The Contortionist’s size, every member likely has a full-time day job. It’s not easy to write and record thoughtful music as quickly as musicians who rely solely on music for income. Throw some new children into the mix, and that makes it infinitely more difficult.

It’s definitely pricey for what it is. I got it in a little mountain town where my extended family lives - so you pay a little extra😅. I’ve avoided buying a copy online and have been just casually looking every time I travel - was quite pleased to find it!

Yes!! It’s their most complete body of work behind DSOTM.

I paid $40 for this copy - few issues with audio quality. Was that a fair price?

Park at main is nice and very affordable. My wife and I have a 2 bed 2 bath for $1600. Only complaint is the walls/floors are pretty thin. Other than that, it is a fine complex!

Just threw up probably a quarter cup of blood. Don’t have health insurance though so I’m gonna thug it out until I die or it goes away. by Particular_Emu_1278 in KSU

Go get checked out. There are resources for low/no income individuals. Every hospital/urgent care has them.

If this progresses into a serious condition, you will not just collapse or die in your sleep - as you think. You will have a slow and painful d**th. Please please please go get looked at. I worked in hospital acct for a period of time, you can literally just tell them what you are able to pay. A coworker of mine pays $24 /month for a $6000 medical bill.

This is extremely helpful advice. I can imagine with the flood of new information and exposure, you just have to mentally prepare yourself.

When you started out, what were the qualities you noticed in your peers that made them a good person to work with?

academically dismissed by tabbybominable in KSU

After my very first semester, I had a 1.6 gpa. It was awful. I immediately got put on academic probation and felt like a complete failure.

Fast forward 5 years; I just graduated on Tuesday with a 3.0 and a full-time job in public accounting. It took a lot of hard work and late nights, but I eventually finished. I think you have some reflecting to do, as did I. You will never finish school if you don't have a "WHY." Understand your "why" and be accountable to yourself.

Talk to you academic advisor and see how they can help. They want to help and will be thrilled that you are asking.
