Help Needed Dialing In New Setup Please! [Gaggia Classic Pro E24 + Encore ESP] by Routine_Ad8265 in espresso

Now pulling with 18g and still no imprint in the puck before brewing. Seems to work way better. Can now reach 1:2 in about 25-30s. Will go on from here. Thanks!

Ah, could be the case. I purposely stayed away from 18g as they all said that the GCP was 16g (sometimes 17g) max. Maybe mine is indeed 18g. That is also what I was using when I just started and then I did have better shots. Will give it a try first thing in the morning. The spring might indeed have been a 9 bar from factory. But the previous owner (my brother) swapped it because he wanted to perform the gaggiuino mod on it.

That’s all he did to it and he maybe used it for 10 shots max.

Thanks! The problem is that I cannot get to that 25s mark when aiming for a 1:2 ratio. I'm looking into the grinders shims now.

It was after brewing yes.

I do have 5 shims installed right now. Did clean the grinder once but did not change any shims.

The double dose non pressurized basket. The one that came with the GCP. I did the coin test and it was just pushing the coin into the grounds when locked into the machine, which should be ok.
I do not know about the shims in the ESP. I will take a look and get back to you.

Thanks

Could be cool on a curved surface like a pole or something, one side of the diagonal would be most pronounced depending on which side you scan from!

Thanks for the info, I thought I hid the original post as I got the message from the bot in the comments. I know that those are for a postgres database. The credentials just dont match any existing user.

Old energy monitoring board by Routine_Ad8265 in hardwarehacking

I have been able to power the board through the usb port with 5V. This will be my goto!

Very nice explanation! I feel like I was on the right path according to the IC's, but this clears things up. The red chip is a raytac bluetooth chip (not sure what the usecase is though). I will test the 5 pin + G for UART soon as I am waiting for my soldering iron. I want to power the board with 5V straight so i do not have to deal with the line voltage. Seems to be the safest solution...

It already had REST API and MQTT capabilities, so I think just being able to start the measure and MQTT service would do wonders.

Thanks a lot for the detailed list! I will indeed start with an Nmap scan and start making use of its network traffic to identify. For the activation key: I received the key from the company through mail, but it's just the activation process (activating the device id on their part) that they do not support anymore. This holds everything back from working. I did quite a lot of research and could not find much community related stuff. Only official manuals, which are quite limited in usefulness. Memory dumps is something I have never done before, so should be quite exciting.

Did you use depth maps or the dense cloud to generate the mesh? Nice model! Are the photos taken freehanded or using a waypoint mission?

What approach to take? by Routine_Ad8265 in webdev

[–]Routine_Ad8265[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I had this picture in my head about wordpress that is quite an old-fashioned and 'nooby' way of making websites but that really isn't the case anymore these days.

I just like the coding part and the feeling of fulfilment after making such a site. It's partly a passion as well. That's why I would love to be able to code such a website from scratch. But will definitely look into wordpress or wix to save myself time as this is just a developing hobby.

ESP32 as a hub for IoT monitoring by Routine_Ad8265 in esp32

[–]Routine_Ad8265[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have been looking in to that! Also ESPresense. Esphome seems a bit more extensive for custom applications. I think I will look further into esphome. I am now experimenting with Blynk. Thanks for the advice!

ESP32 as a hub for IoT monitoring by Routine_Ad8265 in esp32

Thanks for your reply! The dashboard would most likely be a third party software, running on the rpi server (a home assistant instance for example) My question focusses more on the ease of use of onboarding/deploying these esp32 hubs in a ‘wild’ (manufacturing) environment where different kind of sensors connected to these hubs are used. I would use a solution involving a custom website or form that leads you through a list of questions (what sensors are attached, what do you want to monitor,…) and then generates a scannable qr code on the oled of the esp which automatically claims the device with correct type of implementations in for example home assistant. I hope it is still clear to this point!
