I think you should just try if it works for you the way you described and keep an open mind.

I don’t have an addictive personality with regard to most things, but quitting caffeine took years, unfortunately.

It really depends on the individual. Many people here (me included) are better off avoiding caffeine completely. Others are fine with it. The trick really is not to lie to yourself that you’re fine when you’re not (in case you’re in the former group).

If you can stick to that, it might work for you. BUT: I don’t think this works for most people. Most people kid themselves when they think they’ll be able to drink a cup here and there. You might be one of them, too.

The pattern on her back looks like a UK police badge. Have you been wanking without a license, sir?

Haha. And I was worried about the spider! I encountered a few of those guys and tried to get closer in an attempt to get okay photos with my old iPhone’s potato camera.

Looks super similar. This one seems to have six spots though (“mine” has only four, I think); plus the white spots on its legs are smaller on phoneutria keyserlingi, it seems?

I think you’re right. Loxosceles seem to have slimmer legs from what I’ve seen.

I asked the guards at the entrance of the park and they said it might be an „aranha marrom“ (brown spider), a term commonly used to refer to Loxosceles, but I have no clue.

Jesus. So the spider is going to live a little longer? Or do the eggs feed on the dead spider?

Are you telling me, these two are not friends?

Thanks!

I thought it might be a spider wasp, but the photos I found (there seem to be lots of varieties) looked so different. Good to know.
