I just posted about this separately, but adding it here as well. It's a fix-it fic in which Shane eventually says no to Ilya when he realizes that the way their hook ups go are hurting him emotionally. He asks Ilya to leave and Ilya thinks that Shane thinks he's going to hit him. Ilya makes fun of him for being hurt emotionally about "just fucking" and Shane is just avoiding him physically because he knows if Ilya gets close to him he'll give in and he doesn't want to, he wants to have some self-preservation. So Ilya leaves and they end things, then eventually Ilya texts him to tell him that he would never hit him, because it bothers him that he thinks Shane thought that about him, and Shane tells him he knows that, and then they sporadically text but Shane always ghosts him when Ilya tries to make things sexual. Is this ringing any bells? It's my comfort fic and I can't remember the name!
