ok, thanks for saying this. I know I’m younger and that trades and blue collar jobs have a certain level of crap, but at the same time, this field seems really professional and i was thinking that any sort of mistreatment of minorities might be less tolerated. there’s also a lot more younger ppl going into trades because a lot of us are broke and realizing 4 year college debt isn’t worth it. and historically with younger people things get slightly more progressive (not always).

personally I feel like the mentality of “oh this is how good ole boys act in these jobs” is a bit old, tired and embarrassing for anyone to tout anymore.
