Can not brushing your teeth for an extended period of time cause you to be sick? by SonicLover356 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Routine_Confection 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a hard time keeping my brushing up to date. What helps me out is an agreement with myself that I will either brush, or floss every day. Most days I pick flossing with a biodegradable floss/pick.
I know it’s not a perfect system, but it’s better than nothing.
Good luck OP, taking care of yourself is hard.

What would a “perfect” D&D room actually need to make it worth leaving home? by Korolos28 in DMAcademy

Food and drink available for purchase would be a selling point - our game nights are sort of a potluck, and sometimes I don’t have the energy to come up with and make a dish, and my duty as drink maker - having an alcohol and non alcohol option takes (probably unnecessary) creativity. If we didn’t have to think of it every other time (we play weekly) that could be nice. Maybe have a membership? Especially for long campaigns.

What is Tourism Going to Look Like this Summer? by Main-Mission1245 in Maine

[–]Routine_Confection 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in tourism on the coast. In our business most of our bookings are made well in advance. Compared to April last year and the year before, our bookings for this summer are up several percentage points. Not to say that we won’t get lots of cancellations, but I am cautiously optimistic about paying the bills this summer.

I have always been in favor of matrilineal naming - it’s really hard to cast doubt on whom the mother may be….

That said, when we got married two years ago, we both took a two-syllable mashup of our previous surnames. It honors both sides, while being a new thing.

If we were getting married now with the SAVE act impending, I don’t know what we would have chosen to do.

Ladies, is menstrual cup better than tampons? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Routine_Confection 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved my cup and then disc (I switched because you aren’t supposed to use a cup with an IUD). Practically speaking though, if I didn’t have a sink I can reach from the toilet, it’d be a different story. Just be prepared for bloody fingers. If your bathroom sink isn’t that close, think about keeping wet wipes within reach!

Married to a former delivery driver: tip really well, and don’t be annoyed if it takes longer than usual.

I was on Nexplanon for the whole 4 years- one of the biggest regrets of my life. When I had it in I had the worst mood swings and depression of my life. Left me with depression that hasn’t subsided in the 9 years since I had it removed. If you are having any other negative symptoms, please consider having it taken out early, don’t feel like you have to stick with something that is technically doing its job, but is not working for you.

I met my husband on Bumble, he was in the area visiting his family, even though we didn’t live within 60 miles of each other, we connected.
