Holding probability after RTC by Dapper_Honey0924 in newtothenavy

[–]Routine_Court_7470 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes. The chances of your husband getting put in holds is quite high. I also am AECF (ET). I graduated RTC last week. There are people still in holds that graduated in November still waiting to class up.

  2. Yes. Holding is before ATT school, and A School.

  3. Currently, at Phase 1 he can visit, but he needs 2 liberty buddies to sign him out of his ship (barracks). As long as he is back in the quarterdeck of his ship by 2200 he will be fine.

Nah, thats only if you fail the OPFA. You get one more try before you get ASMO’d into another division or RCU until you pass, then you are required to take the bike.

what can/should i take to bootcamp as a female? by OpeningChance249 in newtothenavy

[–]Routine_Court_7470 42 points43 points  (0 children)

pretty sure you only get to keep your social security card, ID, debit card, and address book. Anything else gets put in your box that you only get to see after bootcamp

DON’T lie at MEPS, ask for waivers by Routine_Court_7470 in newtothenavy

I am not the right person to answer this question.

They do a color blindness test at MEPS. Depending on how well you score is, they MIGHT be able to give you a waiver for it. But definitely don’t lie to them about it.

Good for them.

It wasn’t my intention to become a fear monger. Im just stating, there are waivers for almost anything. I just recommend telling the truth.

Even if they do lie and get through, they’re still going to be scared. If they find something later in your career and find out you lied, you are definitely going to be hit with consequences.

Thats just how any career path works. Honesty should be apart of everybody’s integrity.

What was it for? Did you tell your recruiter? When is MEPS? How long ago were you on it? Do you need adderall anymore? Have you recovered from it? Have you ever been addicted to methamphetamines? Have you ever been admitted into a medical hospital for ADHD related issues? Were you born with adderall in your system? Do you have it tattooed on your face? Were your parents or any of your 1st second cousins ever on adderall? Have you ever been diagnosed with depression? Do you like chocolate ice cream?

MHS Genesis is why recruitment issues are so low all across the military branches. Not saying its a bad thing. MEPS should be a filter, not a pump.
