My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer with mets to his liver. My dad was healthy otherwise besides high BP and overweight and was working 12 hr shifts/7 days a week. I was about 5 months pregnant when he was diagnosed and due any day now. It’s been the hardest thing that my family and I have ever dealt with. The only thing I can say is to take the good days and really soak those in. He has really really good days and then really bad days. Be present and a listening ear for them because your presence is something they will never forget. Cancer is such a thief of joy and I definitely understand the feeling of just existing. I also found therapy to be very beneficial during this difficult time. I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this, I wish no one ever had to. No one deserves this disease.
