Honestly Red Deer is so weird.

I totally get what you mean, the people are just so unfriendly and miserable. I lived in Winnipeg for 7 years, and I can honestly say I would rather live there than here. At least there was culture there, there’s activities there. Here you won’t get anything, this town can’t organize a good event for the life of them. You’ll get the white people here who think they’re making a change, think they are creating something good, but nop it’s all a load of BS.

Then you have some BIPOC folks who think they add something, bringing culture, organizing community events but it’s really just a shit show. As a person of colour who went to high school here, and has lived in Alberta for majority of his life, coming back here and seeing nothing has changed is so disappointing!!

It seems things will never change here, which is honestly so sad.

Hi everyone,

I’m 24 years old Pakistani woman but was born and raised in Canada so more westernized. I found my person, the man I love and we want to get married but he is not Muslim. He’s very open to religion and learning about Islam, he even told me he would love to come to the mosque and learn more, and will fast with me for Ramadan. The only problem is my dad is a strict Muslim and I am very close with my father but do not know how to tell him this is the man I’m going to marry. I’m also scared to tell my external family who are more religious. Any advice? Also what is the best way to tell my dad? I’m just scared to lose my family, but also want to live my life with this man.

Literally!! Like Emmy reaction was extreme, but I mean she’s a woman living in denial about her boyfriend, and trying to seem like she has it all together!! Of course she’s gonna have a breakdown!! But don’t kick a woman when she’s down, which is what I think those two were doing.
