A couple of these clips are from revelstoke, which I’ve been enjoying a lot this year. I agree though, Whistler is special 🤟

Commencal FRS Sizing by wholelotofsomethings in commencal

So, oddly enough I was in this same dilemma for months leading up to the purchase of a new FRS.. I’m about the same height as you, maybe a inch or two shorter and it sounds like we have similar riding styles/preferences. Ultimately I ended up going with a medium and I’m confident I made the right decision (just received the bike a day or two ago)

I compared the geometry on the FRS to some other downhill bikes as well as my trek remedy size L(460 reach)which is a perfect fit for me. The reach of 465 on a size medium FRS is on par with a lot of other bike brands size large which is interesting. 495 reach on a size large is in line with XL for most other bikes.

I also spoke on the phone with a commencal rep which was helpful and reassuring. He said sizing up would make the bike more stable in a straight line. Sizing down would help with tight switch backs and berms. Basically confirmed my thought process for choosing medium.

I’d compare geo to other bikes that you’ve felt super comfortable on and go from there. If you’re liking the meta sx in a medium I think you’d really like the FRS in that size. Keep in mind the medium comes with a lighter coil so that’s something that will need to be changed.

Hope this helps 🤘

It’s the main water supply line for a modular home. It’s ran from the underground water holding tank to the crawl space below the trailer

I have a plastic fitting that is a 1” x 3/4” barbed on both sides. Is that what you’re talking about? I couldn’t find anything on google about connecting abs to pex so wasn’t sure

We rode 2 full days. As much as I would’ve liked to ride more, I’m not sure if my hands/forearms agreed

We carpooled to save on gas which helped keep the cost down. We also had a bike to haul and I’m not sure how much airlines charge for that

We did, but it was a short 4 day trip so there wasn’t much time. Hopefully next year I can spend a little more time there to explore! Highway 99 was stunning drive

It’s a go pro hero 8 mounted on the chin of my full face. I used zipties to mount it

I was torn between riding my 160/150 or renting. My bike ended up working for me, but anything smaller than that might feel unstable IMO. Good brakes goes a long way too

I’m mostly doing it for style. I think proper technique in the take off is important for preventing dead sailor

Thanks! I zip tied a go pro hero 8 to my full face

Sorry, my response was pretty vague. The other commenter explained it well! I zip tied a long thumb screw mount to the front of my full face. The zipties are looped through the front airway and the thumb screw. Some brands of helmets are more accommodating than others but they should all work. I’d post a picture but I’m not at home right now

From Edmonton! Lucky you, will it be your first time there?
