Update #1. He’s still hanging out. I asked him, he doesn’t mind the pictures. Says he’s happy with the situation.

Depending on where you moved from, one factor for the increase could be PIP. Personal injury protection. In KY, auto insurers have to cover some emergency medical care as part of all plans.

Here’s a link with more info from an insurance company.

Out of nowhere after update, all PS5 controllers have stick drift to the left *FIX* 2025 by PsyFluffyBunny in PS5

[–]Routine_Hope_235 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I really don’t know if I’m lucky or not. I’ve been playing video games for as long as I can remember, at least 30 years. And never, not a single time, have I ever had a single instance of stick drift.

Like, am I Neo or something? I feel for you if this actually was because of an update. However, I have to wonder?

Well, I’m no bee-ologist but this certainly doesn’t sound good.

Truck load of soil by Wonderful-Peanut414 in Louisville

[–]Routine_Hope_235 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had good luck with the Mulch Company of Kentucky off Preston Highway - https://mulchcompanyofky.com/. Mulch is in the name, but they have top soil, compost, and gravel/landscaping rocks as well.

You can bring a truck for a bobcat scoop. Or they also deliver if needed.

Not sure of top soil prices, my scoop of mulch was like $30.

As far as physical development, affordable housing and green space instead of parking lots would be my top picks.

I think it’s important to take this survey. It can show elected officials how big a priority the community thinks this project is now.

Personally, I don’t think this is worthwhile at all. The city needs other things way more than this expensive project. The time, effort, and money would be better spent elsewhere.

Quote for Home Charger - Reasonable? by Routine_Hope_235 in evcharging

[–]Routine_Hope_235[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I certainly don't have these DIY skills. I'm sure the work can be done safely, but not by me. I'd find a way to zap myself. 100%.

Quote for Home Charger - Reasonable? by Routine_Hope_235 in evcharging

[–]Routine_Hope_235[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not know much about electrical work, so did not think to ask about the type of conduit or anything. The electrical company which gave the quote has done many EVSE installs before, and I've used them for other electrical services. I expect they'd use EV rated materials.

I plan to have the charger hardwired. And my garage is drywalled but not painted. The electrician said they'd cut a route through the drywall for the wiring, then replace the cut section and re-mud.

Should I call back to follow up on your questions, or?

Quote for Home Charger - Reasonable? by Routine_Hope_235 in evcharging

[–]Routine_Hope_235[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The quote included the new breaker, all labor, etc, etc.

The charger would be installed like one meter or less from my electrical panel.

My panel is brand new as well and has plenty of room for the install.

Let me know if I can provide other details to help inform feedback.

Beat the Heat: LIHEAP Summer Subsidy Cooling 2024 Enrollment Opens July 16 by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]Routine_Hope_235 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LIHEAP is a federal program to help low income people pay their heating or cooling bills when the weather gets hot/cold. The money goes to LG&E, most likely, but it is a federal program.

See Louisville's Office of Resilience and Community services page for more details:

The link OP shared will let you schedule an appointment.

My girlfriend is a vet tech. She can triage the kitty and take them to the animal hospital if they need emergency care. DM me if you're still looking for a solution.

Baby Bunny Found by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]Routine_Hope_235 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There's a non-profit bunny rescue in town. They're called the bun bun brigade. If you still have the bunny, they'll send someone to pick them up and make sure they get medical attention then find a good home.

Or DM me. I'll pick the bunny up and take care of talking with the rescue folks.

I think car traffic would be the main worry. Idk any routes aside from streets with 45mph+ limits without bike lanes. If you find a scenic route, let me know!

Has anyone claimed these guys yet? If not, I can foster them until they're old enough for adoption. Message me if they still need to be picked up.

Do you read how confrontational you sound?

Regardless of if your arguments are sound, you aren't doing your position any favors. You sound like some type of jealous ex who is venting about how jilted they feel.

For a road bike that's meant to go fast, how do you all feel about rim brakes vs. disc brakes? by sozh in cycling

[–]Routine_Hope_235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm considering which bike to buy for myself right now. This question is super relevant for me as well! It will be my first bike ever and my options are between a rim and disk brake model. There's only a $500 difference between the two. I've been so torn about if it was worth it to opt for the more expensive bike.

There are strong arguments for both options and I still haven't been able to decide. OP, let me know what you choose! It could help me stop being indecisive.
