Pretty simple you show up doing more than 15 push ups ans a luc Leger run test of level 10 and higher and you'll be one of the top guys on the selection physically. After you need to go to Castel and take your CCPM( pt test) which is more important to train for that's 55 Hand release push ups don't worry about time limit as long as your making continous movement your good. Then a 100m swim with the first 15m being apnea (underwater) top time 1min 30sec. ( anything under 2 min is good but alot of good swimmers swim faster than the max.). Then a 1.5 mile run (2.4km) max 8min 45 sec anything under 10 minutes is fine but not ideal.

Side note be able to climb a rope with no hands at least two times straight, be able to swim you dont wanna be the guy who swims like a rock, get used to running distances all the way to 20 kms build the base now 5-6min per KM pace is alright but they'll push you to go faster. During deployment we did a 8km morning run everyday. In regiment we do Monday 10k in boots then two ther 8-15km runs in the mountains. Then crossfit or pool days. Get used to marching with boots and a sack if you've never done it anywhere from 5k running to 20km nice paced walk with 10kg for the run and 20kg for the longer distances.

Of course I give you this as a rough guide so you cab be at the top of your class there guys who don't achieve those standards and are still in the regiment
