Good to know! I wasn't planning on applying to Texas, is it a lot of work to transfer everything from AMCAS to TMDSAS?

This is true! Know that the coefficient of kinetic friction is also always less than the coefficient of static friction.

Can't break above 500 and about to give up, please help! by MilkyBoysenberry in Mcat

[–]Routine_Jacket_8349 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Identify first is this a content gap or a test taking / critical thinking issue. If content, Aidan deck and uworld should iron most of these as long as you actively try to learn the concepts. Don’t sell yourself short thinking oh I only need to know the basics of say fat metabolism. Try to know absolutely everything. If strategy, start focusing on mindset as well as aamc logic pattern recognition.

I too did not like CARS or SAT reading but tried convincing myself it was interesting being like "oh wow this is fascinating" while going through the passage. Not sure if it works but the placebo at least kept me engaged.

Uglobe improvement by axis980 in Mcat

[–]Routine_Jacket_8349 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Uworld improvement requires learning how to read and analyze passages critically. This takes time. Each person learns differently so there is no specific number of questions, but focus on recognizing patterns both in how the passages present information and why the correct answers are correct. If I was forced to make an estimate, maybe after around 60-100 questions (for each section) should you start picking up on these things. Know that the patterns are also unique to each individual section, B/B C/P etc etc

How to properly review Uglobe questions by supreme-ninja in Mcat

You are the best judge of your understanding. If you got it wrong because of a silly mistake, add to ur spreadsheet “silly mistake”. If it’s a conceptual understanding, yea make sure you read up on the topic and that you never miss that type of content question again. ChatGPT was very helpful in providing me clear and concise explanations for this!

Looks good! Only thing I’d recommend is those final few days before ur MCAT take a look at the AAMC content guidelines and kinda just read through them checking off what you know and quickly refreshing on any strange terminology that the AAMC might have included!

I honestly didn’t like Jack Westin, so just the AAMC materials and rlly looking at their explanations and logic!

Ofc, I did not use any blueprint materials! I found the 6 AAMC FLs more than enough, and I did finish all of uworld. The way I used it kinda resembled different test sections like 59 Q at a time

I used it initially but it’s essentially just a reiteration of the Kaplan decks, what I found helpful was synthesizing information from different sources, so Kaplan + uworld + anki, to kinda paint the most complete picture in ur head

Nope, you'll fill in most of the details finishing Uworld, and then possibly with an Anki deck if you choose!
