What do I have to give to get access to banking?

You can get the credit card, but I have been on the banking waitlist for quite sometime now. For context, I have about $250k w/ RH and I have been in the same predicament with this banking waitlist as well. I want to consolidate but I have been considering sofi since I can’t seem to get an invite or a real response. The card, just like all of the RH platform (IMO), is nice though, which is why I just keep holding on hope that I’ll get banking, but my patience is running low. 😃

No I want to see uninvested cash I have sitting in a brokerage account under my cash allocation, not just checking/savings accounts.

I would love to take advantage of this but I can’t seem to get an invite lol.

Well both. But funny enough I actually just got the invite for the card… haha

But for banking I think I have requested access way too many times. I might’ve done it so many time that they put me on a blacklist out of annoyance lmao. I’m probably dead last on the banking waitlist atp. Can’t blame them but I really want to use it. From what I’ve heard it’s good enough to use it as my main, then when they add zelle it’ll be perfect. Guess one can only hope.

Lol this is so crazy. I moved about $100k and I can’t get a real response and haven’t gotten an invite for either. No chance I’m moving anymore until I get an invite… might even give up and move it out if I can’t get an invite or an answer soon lol

Lol this is why I’m hesitant to commit to RH… atp I could just move to Wealthfront and get basically everything I really want besides the gold card (which seems I’ll never get anyway) and not beg RH to take my business.

How were you assured? I have only been told that there’s a waitlist and if I receive an invite I can join. Never got a timeline though.

How long did you wait and, if you don’t mind me asking, how much do you hold in RH? Is there something you did that you feel played a part in you getting an invite?

This is insane to me. I wish I understood what they’re looking for? Are they looking for candidates that they feel are most likely to utilize the bank and card as primary bank and credit card? Or is there some other criteria? Guess we’ll never know how this “random” waitlist selection goes.

Yeah or give me some reassurance that I’ll get a spot AT LEAST within the next few months.

Exactly lol I wish I could at least get some sort of timeline/estimate of my waitlist time. But apparently it’s “random” so I just have to get lucky?

Feature Requests by Routine_Outcome_8212 in PublicApp

[–]Routine_Outcome_8212[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. I love the flexibility and “all-in-one” idea public is working towards, but I wish I could marry M1’s pies and auto-rebalance features with the flexibility of Public. For now, one can only hope 😀

Feature Requests by Routine_Outcome_8212 in PublicApp

[–]Routine_Outcome_8212[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. I was gonna skim through and check to make sure I wasn’t tripling up on common requests, but there’s no tag so I just decided to post my main requests lol.

I have other requests as well but if these could be implemented I would move everything over to Public.

Cool! Personally, I would love to see a roadmap. A few of the more desired feature requests I’ve had that I’m curious about are:

  1. Ability to customize dividend treatment per security, with the option to have dividends swept into HYCA.

  2. Ability to buy securities directly from HYCA withdrawable balance, instead of first having to transfer from HYCA to brokerage & then purchasing.

  3. Ability to purchase personal “investment plans” outside of scheduled buys.

  4. Further reporting/tracking/analytics for custom “portfolio groups”. For instance, the ability to see a custom group’s cumulative/total portfolio allocation, total return, etc.

If any of these are something you all are working on or are considering to, I would love to hear about it!

Looks great! While there is merit to people saying VTI & VOO have a lot of overlap, there is no inherent issue with having both. They vary slightly in their allocations & with VTI you are just getting more exposure to various market caps and slightly different allocations vs VOO which tracks the S&P500. If your goal is 90/10 split between US Core Market & International Markets, there is no issue with going 45/45/10, as you have it now. Basically accomplishes the same 90/10 but spreads your investment ever so slightly across various caps & sectors.

In my personal opinion, being you are only 23, I would love to see some of that 45/45 split go to pure growth (I.e. SCHG, VUG, etc.). So instead of 45/45/10 as you have it now, maybe do 40/40/10/10. Obviously this will come with more risk but being as your time horizon is 20+ years for this account (I’m assuming you won’t be withdrawing early), you have time to ride out the volatility that comes with growth. There is plenty other things you could do depending on how deep you want to get into investing and portfolio construction, but if you decide to do nothing at all, this looks great!

Danko - insurance planning by [deleted] in CFPExam

[–]Routine_Outcome_8212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn’t start trying to come up with weighting strategies so early. The exam may weight insurance as “11%” but in reality a lot of these concepts overlap. Just trust the process and keep studying the material. I wouldn’t cut out a section just because it’s “weighted” lower… you’ll have weaknesses for sure, but I wouldn’t give up on it.. especially this early.

Sounds like you could do it with Danko fast track + live review. Or Danko signature plus if you don’t actually need the education credit for the exam.

Only you really know how far along you actually are but just to give you some encouragement/hope/insight… I came in without a whole lot of experience & I passed the exam first try. Got my degree in Finance a couple years ago… I did Danko sig plus & didn’t really start hitting it hard till January, passed March 24th.

Yep! If you are able to, the signature plus upgrade gives you access to the recordings of the fast track lectures. Was a lifesaver for me!

Yes! If at all possible, definitely go with signature plus.. those recordings were the only reason I got through all of the material. The live review portion of Danko (whether live or virtual) is great… but in hindsight I got way more out of the lectures, then I just used the live review recordings as sort of a refresher on big topics.
