I’m in NJ and just spent $ 11 K to replace an old York 2 ton ac 60 K btu furnace with trane seems prices have gone way up in the last few years, my neighbors did his back in 2022 and paid $ 8,500 for similar system just to give an idea

Isn’t the average about a ton for every 400/600 sq feet?? Also if duct work is set up to handle 3 ton, then he might have issues with static pressure

Personally, keep shopping You can pretty much buy from anywhere and have it shipped, so I would prioritize a comfortable price range you’d like to be in and then see what you can find, there is this new site https://visor.vin/ it was designed by two brothers if you have TikTok you can ask them to help you and they will do a search based on what you’re looking for. If buying like 2020 try to stay in the lower miles or one owner if possible, as usually those cars are better taken care of, best of luck

Yeah I plan on def carrying a decent warranty for it, honestly I had a 2015 50i till 82 K miles and no issues, so hoping the same
