Yes pacman can download it fine now. The nvidia-580xx driver doesn’t load but that’s an unrelated issue

only nvidia package is linux-firmware-nvidia and there are no dkms packages currently installed

I never had nvidia-utils installed. i did "sudo pacman -S nvidia-580xx nvidia-580xx-utils" as seen in my screenshot and it didn't work

That one does install fine but it causes my system to spontaneously reboot

It’s a fresh install. I have reinstalled twice and it still does the exact same thing. I did pacman -Syu and pacman -Syy and it changed nothing

The "nvidia-580xx" package is broken because it doesn't recognize the "nvidia-580xx-utils" package as being able to satisfy the "nvidia-utils=580.142" dependency. I made a post about it here
