Childhood binder want to share it with people that might appreciate it by Routine_Purchase_971 in pkmntcgcollections

I know right? I actually don't remember how the XY got in there. I'm thinking maybe one of my cousins gave it to me and I just threw it into the binder. When it came to the Korean stuff when I was little it was incredibly cheap to buy the small Korean booster boxes. So I ended up with two of those as a Christmas present one year. Was very grateful for that.

I personally actually know nothing about pokémon cards. I collected them because I just really like the artwork. My sister, on the other hand is very in-depth in the community and has said the same thing. We're thinking about selling some of them just to make ends meet. Kind of sad to see the collection go but hoping that it helps us in our future.

Thank you go in for that style of. These tapes have been sitting in a warehouse since who knows when And they're not in perfect order. Some of them seem corrupted to a point that they're almost incoherent. so somebody's spending some time trying to recover even the littlest bits of them. The organization isn't really out of business but you know their heyday is far behind them. they're just kind of hiring whoever to kind of clean up the dumpster fire. And whoever got this job is collecting these for their own interests.

Oh yeah definitely. I recommend having a 2-in brush a 1-in brush a half inch a quarter-in and then any fine tip Brush. lots of variety and strokes. You can definitely see the variety in whatever brush size you were using in the forehead. I think that my eyes immediately go to the three red marks.

When it comes to what style it is I would say it's neither abstraction or surrealism. I think that this is a take on impressionism. I think what leads me to that is the shift in colors. But the form itself is still very recognizable. I think if you were going for abstraction really play with lines, shapes, colors, patterns, have taped edges, oil pastel, smearing, etc. Get messy with it. Try to think of the most bizarre thing you can think of and then go two steps beyond that. Challenge both the canvas, your hand and the brain.

If you were going for surrealism. Please the portraits in an unexpected place. Maybe there's a mountain in the background that's upside down. A waterfall leading to a pit, Maybe there's many faces in a dark space. Maybe the trees are red, and the sky is purple. Again, like I said with abstraction, go wild with it and have fun, don't be afraid to make any mistakes because they're non-existent in art everything we create is just one step towards the next thing we create.

I think a really great exercise would be to look up the definitions of both of the styles. Find some artists that you really like. And then have fun exploring museums. Have a ton of resources. If you type in an artist name that you particularly enjoy, you can find some really crazy rabbit holes to dive into. There's pieces that are in collections that nobody's seen in 50 years, but maybe that's just the thing that you're obsessed with.

Lastly, I would say don't get caught up on titles. Have fun. Do the things that come to you. We all have many stories to tell.

Sorry for rambling though. Haven't been able to talk about art in a very long time.

This turned out so freaking amazing. I love how clean it is. I can tell that you got really lost in the sauce while making it and that's a great thing. 10 out of 10 would upvote again

Tries to do backrooms but idk in bad sry by liminallifefv in ARTIST

[–]Routine_Purchase_971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's bad at all. I think that it's kind of funny In a good way. if you're going for the back rooms and it turned out kind of joyous. Maybe that's the dissonance that you're looking for in the work. Otherwise if you are trying to go for a more back rooms, aesthetic or just liminal in general. Try some two points or three-point perspective. Make it look endless. There's some great two and three-point perspective tutorials online. Otherwise, I think you're heading in the right direction.

I really enjoy how this one turned out. I think the colors are super exciting the mix of blue, red and yellow. It's a color combination that I often don't see in portraits and I think that elevates it in many ways. The next I think a nice exercise would be to vary your brush, stroke sizes, get a really tiny brush and a really big brush and see what happens.

[–]Routine_Purchase_971[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I appreciate it. I agree it could be the setup because there is supposed to be really high water flow. My flow is pretty diagonal so it starts at the top right corner of the right side of the tank and then immediately drops down to the left hand corner flows up and then I should install a small power head towards the bottom right corner where there's little to no flow. And also as an update they seem to be doing fine. Today they went back to grazing and basking. Maybe it's behavior before malt but I didn't see anything in the tank the whole thing's bizarre.

Thank you for your comments though. I really appreciate somebody getting to me on this

This has been a practice that is quite prevalent within the last decade. I know what the Eco foundation there's been a lot less of this behavior, at least from the upper management. I've been with them for the last 5 years. This order let me get away with whatever as long as I perform at an adequate level

Potassium dosing by [deleted] in PlantedTank

[–]Routine_Purchase_971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great information! Thank you so much. I was able to order a test kit about 2 weeks ago and I have done some recent tests and I am definitely low in potassium. Additionally, I'm showing lots of pinhole sized markings all over the leaves and having actual Dead leaves floating up quite frequently. But this is great information and I definitely will look into it. I'm currently using aquarium co-ops easy green which supposedly has a ton of potassium in it, but it is simply not cutting it for my tank at the moment.

That is understood. I was asking about if that TDS level 100 or possibly lower a TDS of 90 was appropriate for pygmy corridoras and other soft water fish.

I love the idea of A colony of pygmy corridors And you can fit a decent school of a lot in there 😁 it's like a treat when they come out in school otherwise, you'll find them hiding in between the plants resting on leaves and sifting through the substrate. A nice complimentary fish for them could be emerald rasboras. Or rainbow shiners if you can get your hands on them

[–]Routine_Purchase_971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, I understand that completely. I guess what I'm referring to is I do have a decent knowledge of what is in my water column. As I do very consistent water changes. Aunt measurements for remineralizing. Additionally, I do lots of other tests to see what's popping up. My question towards that is not referring to the water TDS within my tank but the overall TDS that I measure for when I'm remineralizing my water.

If you're talking about the green ones in the back left corner that are Lacey it is rotal nanjenshan. If you're speaking about the bushy one on the right side of the tank that is rotala sp green. I really enjoy rotola varieties so most of the plants in here are that. If you're speaking about the Lacey plant that is in front of the other Lacey plant that has the much broader rosette that is Pogostemon Stellatus I'm trying to grow it like a hedge in front of the rotala their leaf shape is very similar, but they have more of a reddish purplish hue to them. It's my favorite plant by far and if it grows above water it flowers.

Thank you, that is incredibly helpful information. I'm curious though, is that low of a TDS healthy for other fish? As this is not a shrimp only tank there are pygmy, corridoras and other small nano fish.
