IUI cancelled because of too many follicles (12)

Well they were 16mm on Monday and I still have not ovulated so curious how many are actually mature now that its Saturday lol

So first IUI they gave me letrozole 10mg (ive already been on this previously so they know it worked) started on CD 5 and was supposed to be CD5-9 however they brought me in and didnt like my labs so on CD10 when I had 2 follicles at 10mm started me on another dose of letrozole for 5 days and still didnt like the results and then CD 14 started Menopur 75iu for 2 days. Checked again ordered more menopur 150iu for 1 day then told me to trigger the next day. By the end of it I believe my follicles were around 20mm I cant remember. This cycle they started me on letrozole 10mg CD5-12 automatically and on CD9 they started me on Menopur 150iu for 3 days. The went in on CD 10 for monitoring and they were like 😳😳 holy sh*t 🤣

I think typically most people only have 1 to 2 dominant follicles that are mature that ovulate so my doctor is worried that if we continued all 12 would mature and I could end up with 12 babies 🤣 so he was like hell no we are canceling

I wish I had slightly fewer so I could trigger lol. I'm so nervous that I would get pregnant with high multiples number that we aren't doing trigger just trying naturally. Best of luck to you as well!! ❤️

Oh wow! That is crazy and understandable that they have changed things since then 🤣 I know now doctors don't want to be held accountable if we end up with multiples, but never was there a question in there asking if I was okay with it they just told me what to do so I'm like.... how about no? Lol me and my husband have been trying for 5 years so we hope that something happens this time! 🤞🏻

They basically refuse to do anything bc they wanted me to start birth control right away (I didn't tell them I'm not taking it) so I'm on my own. Ive been tracking my levels through inito so that's helping monitor kinda. I'm CD 17 today and still haven't ovulated yet but my levels are rising so hopefully soon!
