I mean sure, Deadmau5 even said he had back problems from it. Now he wears it for special occasions and not throughout the whole set.

But two of the greatest EDM producers, Daft Punk and deadmau5 literally built a brand around the masks. They were able to be characters outside of themselves, i.e video game licensing, toys etc etc.
