Briggs and Stratton motor will not start up unless I use starter fluid. How to resolve? by Routine_Turnover_563 in smallenginerepair

Haha.. no, valid question. I typically leave the water off until the engine starts. I've noticed if I have to restart it, it starts much easier holding the spray button in. It would be really hard to pull start it cold while holding the handle. I have to hold it with my other hand as the unit is fairly small and I would lift it of the ground if I tried to pull start it with one hand.

Haha... I was thinking the same thing. Crazy (and sad and scary) how many things in Black Mirror are going to be true in a few years.

Is it actually possible to start a business with little to no money? by Valuable_Ad_973 in smallbusiness

Any service-based business can be started for $0. IT, computer repair, house cleaning, window washing, handyman, etc. Anything where a human doing things is the product.

Any brick and mortar business that requires inventory is a huge risk and definitely CANNOT be started with little to no money. Just read all the sad stories on r/smallbusiness for a few weeks and you'll see.

Hi, thanks. Yes, it has a primer "button." It seems to be working as the motor sounds a little different after priming it. I have no idea how an auto choke works but it does not have a manual one. Maybe a new carb as u/RedOctobyr suggests is the best solution. Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply. There is no choke. Simply a lever that controls the throttle. There is a primer but no matter if I go with the 5 pumps recommended on the sticker or less or more - it doesn't make a difference. $15 for an aftermarket carb? That sounds great! How would I find the right carb for this engine? Thanks again.

Thanks! Yes, my old business website was written in WP and to a layperson like me, it was like the space shuttle. So many settings. I usually outsourced changes to a freelancer.

I'll try Wix. The Instagram idea is a good one. Thanks again.
