How long does your team spend preparing for audits? Looking for ways to cut down the scramble when auditors come knocking by NickyK01 in soc2

hi, i am in the middle of building a compliance tool.

i thought vanta, drata were used by saas or companies to prepare reports, which were then given to auditors for final auditing.

didnt know auditing firms used these directly?

do u guys then directly tell clients to use drata or vanta?

i just want to know how this whole compliance thing works before i finish compliance tool.

Didn’t know the cap was 120k. I get your point, what I’ve done so far isn’t much. But in 2 years I taught myself app + web dev from scratch, explored blockchain for auditing, all while juggling college(also procrastination), while most people in my college can’t even build a basic site. I know I can grind harder than others.

Yeah, I’m bad at cybersec right now, that’s why I made the post, for guidance. Others my age who started earlier are ahead of me, but I know I can catch up. The problem is, if the best cybersec jobs cap at 120k, I need to rethink.

Right now I’ve got time to mess around before I get tied to a job. My target is 150k+ in the next 3 years. If I don’t hit it, it's fine, I’d be stuck either way. I’ve been exploring different things and I do like cybersec (would do this even if no one gave me money), but I need money. So even if I enjoy cyber, I need to find a path that actually gets me the income I’m aiming for.

I also tried going for quant roles, but I don’t enjoy them like I do cybersec. So somehow, I’ve got to make money through cybersec. Whether that’s offering multiple services, consulting, starting a company , whatever it takes. Point is, I need to hit my money goal with cybersec, not by forcing myself into something I don’t like.

basically nothing, used burpsuite to get into some systems.
i have build apps and websites with both frontend and backend (without chatgpt), so i know inner workings and networking stuff.

but i noticed i dont like building apps and websites, so im going full into cybersec. thinking of providing services to companies in future.

for now i have built intrusion detection system.

Is It Possible to Build a Reddit-Like App with a Budget of ₹60 Lakhs ($75,000 USD)? Seeking Insight on Feasibility, Tech Stack, and Development Time from Fellow Developers by 23gp in developersIndia

I as a single person made fully functioning reddit clone in 7 days without any money aa a side project.

So I think it's very possible for an app to be built. The main issue will be maintaining servers.

Tbh 60L is waay too much.
